it seems to me that most of your shots lack sharpness weevil
in this particular picture it looks like a front focus to me
just my opinion, not any critic on any of your shots ;)
Your right, I lack the ability to edit, and I dont know shi_t about my camera
well maybe you forgot to switch to AI Servo for focusing, thus leading to frontfocus or something.
i dont want to insult you if you maybe think so, just want to help a bit if possible :)
hey Weevil, did you use Av or Tv mode??
Strawberry anyone?

woah.. out of focus Hale.... why ?
that strawberry is soft/fuzzy instead of crisp and clear, especially at the f-stop you used.
you having backfocus problems on your lens?
Yeh I got a cheap lens:(. I tried to shoot with Macro at 105mm (f4.5 lowest)+ ISO 100 and no tri-pod. Manual Focus & Manual mode. + I did not have any lighting equipment so It really hard to shot + I wore glasses so .
I am saving up for a real Macro 100mm f2.8L:up: so just wait
ahh handheld 105mm, yeah those can be hard... you should see my handheld shots... omg! my earthquake approved shakey hands HA!...
i should send you my extra Quantarray tech-10 24mm wide angle/macro and let you play with it just so you can see an L lens is not necessary.
i wouldnt spend all that cash on an L lens just for a macro unless thats what you do ALOT of..
here is almost at the minimum focal distance for the tech-10 24mm F/2.8 macro, which is 0.18m or .6ft

I'm not sure, the camera is usually set to auto, we just like to take pictures, someday when we have more time, we'd love to take some photography classes, I don't know what all that stuff means.
And I'm not insulted, I appreciate the critique, it's the only way to learn.
Running a business doesn't leave much leisure time, someday...
