IMO, that looks like a ES using DDR3 not DDR5. Take a look at this (take note of the date it was submitted). 1002-9440 use GDDR3. We still have to wait to confirm the device ID for the 4870 is though.

Questions chaps.
How come all the cards that have been sent out to people to test have all been Power Color?
Anyone in the EU managed to buy a card today then?
Looking foward to your results mascaras. :)
That's just ridicules. HD4850 is everywhere and it hasn't even launched yet. Wtf.
Well the cards were out at retailers near the beginning of the month. Bit of a logistical problem it seems.
I think theres gonna be many angry folks under NDA out there.
Santa is arriving too early this year :D
@mascaras, you're a lucky guy :). I have one more request . Is it a problem to start the tests with single 4850, because we've seen a lot ot CF tests and the whole world waits for the single tests :). Thanks in advance
I liked the non edited version more :D.
Awesome news Mascaras !!!
Please make sure to have HD screenshots like last time :D

That was fast. So it seems its slightly slower than 9800GTX in Crysis.
Waiting for CF scaling and other games!
AA vs no AA is TOP priority here :D
Yeah, what about AA?
That is 34½ not 35
and 31½ not 32.:p:
Also, 4850 is done on Vista build 6156 (SP1)
9800GTX on older Vista build 5767
Hopefully you redo tests. I'm sure you will.... :p::up:
wait , received cards 10 minuts" ago :p:

with AA this is not playable.
It's not interesting to do unplable tests.
31fps it's not thaat playable, It's just for comparison....
a HD3870 would do a lot less than that (31fps@dx9 high 1080p)?
