I can't tell. My E6300 can't go up more because it needs extra voltage over 3.1Ghz-3.2Ghz and my Scythe can not hold so much heat.
Now I'm running 3010Mhz@1.24v idle, 1.22 load, 8h Orthos stable and I think that's enough for an E6300 that comes with 1.866Ghz stock. :D
Max on 0804 was 3430Mhz Orthos stable and 3570Mhz Pi stable. Haven't tested on 0910.

hmm, don't hope so.
Would be quite fast after 3 months.

Upped the voltage in the bios with 0,025 and seems stable with the same test for 3 hours now.

bios Settings
400fsb
800 mem setting
pci 100
mem voltage 2.0
cpu voltage 1,45 (was 1,425)

temps cores 100% load 3 hours:
Intel TAT: 57 degrees both cores
asus ai suite: 64 degrees
systool: 74 degrees

I have a strange issue on my P5B dlx.
My PC is a P5B blx wf, 6400, G.Skill HZ, Enermax 535w, X800 GTO etc..

My TV-Out(S-Video) dosnt work on this mobo.
I have another mobo with a P4HT 520 and it works fine there but when 1 plug it on the Asus the TV-Out is dead.
PCIE locked on 100! PCI 33...
No signal at all.

What can it be?

so you've plugged it on both motherboards several times and it was consistently not showing video on P5B and was on the other motherboard

you sure it isn't just video settings?

its for both versions (Bios are always the same)

but is listed on asus site on both versions too

When you go to the downloads page, don't click the top "BIOS" tab. There is a list on that main page of stuff (that is the same as what's listed above in tabs). Just expand the BIOS section (click the + sign next to BIOS) and you will see it.

Basically, it's on the main page but not the BIOS page, if that makes any sense.

Hey guys quick question. I just built a system for a friend,Qx6700,p5b deluxe, Ocz8000 titanium memory,and a bfg 8800gtx. Is there some setting in bios that limits using all 4 cores. In a nero record it is only using 1 core adds up to about 26% cpu usage. My core2 extreme x6800 uses both cores at about 90% cpu usage. Im newbee when it comes to these quad cores. any help would be great cus my friend wants to kill me for telling him to get the qx6700 instead of x6800 cus im kicking his ass lol thanx.

Asus needs a better of quite a few things. ;) Anyways, the P5B was fun for the two days I've had it. Switching to the Intel Bad Axe 2 on Friday. Very helpful thread though - thanks.

Check Intel Spec for the C2D - Max rated temp is 61.4C .
It could be those BSODs or Freezes are due to OverHeating .
If you havn't done so yet - use Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Paste.

I would check the V.Card on the other PCI-E slot.
Check that its not at x1 . This could be a clue.

hmm, that could be the problem:
I'm using a tuniq tower with zalman paste, so would be strange that this would be the big issue here.

No BSOD's BTW, only freezes.

What temps are correct BTW:
As you can see in my post I used three different monitor tools with three different values.

temps cores 100% load 3 hours:

haha why? I'm pretty happy with my p5b deluxe. It's really stable right now. But I do wish it can run stable at some other speeds.

gah, the new 0910 BIOS is screwing up for me. I get one of those 'CMOS checksum failed!....' messages when I try to reapply my saved OC profile settings. Im back to 0804 now.

What did you guys do before updating to this one?

You must only do the basic rule before flashing any bios ... remove any OC ;)

How did you flash 0910 ? EZFlash ? AFUDOS ? or Asus Update ?

I used EZFlash with a USB stick and what i did was revert to the OC Profile 1(before flashing)- which actually used the stock FSB but it had some things changed like vdimm, lower vcore, vNB etc - so I thought it was ok?

I think flashing removes any saved OC profile so you have to do the settings again.

Stx, do the following ... enter your BIOS ... put your FSB and multi to default.

Save and Exit.

Enter windows and flash the oficial 0910 with the last Asus Update the V7.09.02 ( get it here ) !

It should work fine this way ;)

bios 0910 is suck....
when i use 0804, i can do 3.5GHz with only 1.4v (bios), with 0910 i need 1.42v to reach 3.5GHz..... so now i swicth back to 0804....
