Definitely don't run yr 3.3v line too high on this mobo though peeps, it doesn't like it.
Have an issue board wont boot with corsair 5400Pro the ones with led lights.
Hello all.
Does the Yonah Chip have slightly chamfered corners on 2 sides? I am asking as I bought a ES chip and it does not seem to boot. I cannot make out if it has been damaged or it is made this way.
Anyone in London UK that can help me test will be great! I do not have any spare Yonah CPU/board or ddr2 memory to swap around.
Thanks in advance.
No, yonah should have all sides equal. Can you post high quality pictures of core?
Is it possible to have a wall as low as 216 or 217 MHz FSB? It seems to be my case :( I'm using a T2300 ES stepping 8 revision C0, maybe it's not enought...

I'm in UK but not in London (am in Shropshire)... doesn't sound right though, chamfered corners. Pics would help. I'll gladly test it for you though if you wanna post it, can provide references etc. By all means PM me about it.Quote:

Bum luck Thomas, sell it on ebay and buy another?
It's not mine, but a loan from Intel ;) I can't sell it :)

Hmm, I did vcca mod but I can only decrease voltage from 1.5V to lower lol
What did I do wrong?
Mod is here:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...4&postcount=54
Without VR I am getting 20ohms, but with a 100ohm VR I can only decrease resistance to around 16ohms or less thus voltage only lower.
Use the remote control or clockgen when in windows. I take it you didn't read the Aopen + Yonah guide. Using the remote control or clockgen will allow almost 20mhz more on the FSB.Quote:

On the other hand 3DMark01 (only tested so far) runs only with the plug...
Anybody see the same?
Maybe PSU is to weak?
Going to test a Amacrox 400 W...;)
I can reach max 225 with my T2300 (non ES)Quote:

But 3DMarks make strange Probs...:(
- CPU-clock doesn´t impact on that
- GFX runs perfect @ RIO (see sig)
- tested 84.21 and 84.43
- Chipset-driver is the newest
- §DMarks run through without any problem, only when showing results failure cames up
Any idea about that?
I can't power on at all if 4pin molex is not in the board. I am using x1900xtx and powerstream 520W sli
sounds like you ran it to ground or in parallel? the mod is 100 ohm + 20 ohm in series... resistance @ R151 needs to be increased to raise vcca with this mod.Quote:

That F***ING board gives me really a hard time...:(
Problem feew post up still not solved...
An now: can´t get audio running. After enable in bios (Auto or just AC97) I try to install the driver, but it stops with saying: first launch/install BUS-driver
I can´t find anything in the hardware manager
Any ide about that?
OS setup is fresh...
Help, using Everest the AUX temperature (assuming Northbridge or motherboard) is 56'c, this sounds high to me, what are others
measuring please???
Thanks
I don´t trust Everest...
Look *here*, what are alternative tools...;)
OK, using MBM5 I get;
Case 61'c
CPU 45'c
Using Speedfan I get;
CPU 40'c
CPU 45'c
Aux 60'c
Using Core temp I get;
58'c
58'c
Can you tell me what the Aux and Case relate to?
Maid a crosscheck again and GFX doesn´t work either at my DFI...:(Quote:

Hi,
Sorry I haven't read the thread, but are you guys using any protection when you mount heavy heatsinks on your Yonah/Merom chips? Sort of like a shim or anything? If not, how do you prevent core-crushing accidents?!
I wanna use a Zalman 7000 with a Merom on an MSI Speedster board. I have some little foam pads (like there used to be on the corners of Athlon XP's) so I was just gonna place these around the core. Will that be ok?
Thanks,
Suman
Pull out some scotch tape. ;)

Though the foam pads should work fine too for a Zalman.
