Nice, which 7900GT is that, and fans on full blast, does that mean stock cooling??

Just got my XFX 7900gt extreme today. Stock clocks are the 520/1500. Coolbits auto detect of 542/1600. Put it under my watercooling and even though temps are only 30C idle and just slightly higher under load, coolbits still detects the same clocks.
Manually clocked it to 545/1700 with no artifacts so far. Still working on it, but will wait until Monday when my new Opteron 146 shows up to test much more.
ah, wc, makes more sense. nice clocks.Quote:

its nVidia's way of *trying* to stop folks running 7800GT at GTX clocks... but, we'll beat it ;)Quote:

Theres a guy on ORB with 613/1786, which is crazy.
Maybe he solved the voltage protection :fact:
Not a bad start with my XFX 7900GT Extreme :D :

I'm with stockcooling.
Mem will go higher but the core seems to pass out @ 564/565MHz.
Not bad for a single core.
Whoa  did a run @ 600/950 (DDR1900) on stock cooling & voltage :woot:
Will post screens soon.
Have 5273 3dMark06 @ Stock GPU
Have 10020 @ 560/850 (DDR1700)
XFX 7900GT Extreme (520/1500 stock)
Currently running
561/1642
XFX Extreme stock 520/1500
Getting 9911 3d 05
so close to 10k still tweaking
what drivers is everyone using?
currently running beat 84.20's
i got 10021 marks in 2k5 XFX 7900GT Extreme 520/1500 overcloked to 565/1800 @ stokcooler//// 84.20 drivers

My card got 9981 in 3dmark05 but that was at really high clocks :( i think i may need a reinstall of my os. the clocks are 570/962,5mhz and yes that is 1925mhz on the memory of the card :)

Played with it for some hours now and here's my result, stock cooling and voltage.

Excelent core OC men !
Some question for you :
Are you using coolbits 2 ?
Have you changed anything in the registry ?
And what driver are you using ?
What is the max. core / mem that passes coolbits test ?
For those speed's you are using Powerstrip right ?
I am using ATItools the new one.. max in coolbits is 560/900 i think it was.. but the core went to 610 :D with slight artifacts though, or actually i don't know if it was the memory or the core that artifacted..

got a boost in 05 using these extreme G drivers.
very unlikelyQuote:

Every +0.1V should give 50-100Mhz more. If he had really fixed the overvolt problem (and he has a good core), it would be more like 713Mhz+ ;)
I think nVidia was afraid of repeat of GF4Ti 4200 -> 4600+
EDIT: Can anyone with 7900GTX run some 3dMark2005/2006 standard, but at 7900GT clocks (or anyone have link where its been done)

Indeed nothing godly @ 613/1786, if stock can run at 560, it bu far will run @ 613 with any good cooling , like chiller or dod
What is actualy stuning me is taht my 520/1500 XFX bench 06 @ 550/1804 stock :/ with no artifact, am considering a bug in clocking
575 is insane for a 520, any additionnal fan blowing on ?Quote:

dont get any artifact yet , this cards roks ;)
Only tried oc'ing the memory of my XFX 7900GT EE (550/1630). Core will have to wait till I get my Enermax620 and some other cooling...
550/1840 (first artifacts occur at 1854mhz)

oh and btw..
84.21 official whql are out:

and...
84.20 from tweakrus:
For a driver to perform this well, you'd expect IQ that looks like it's been beaten with an ugly-stick. That's definitely not the case here. The stock driver doesn't deliver the breathtaking image quality of 84.12, in fact it suffers from garish colours and poorer texture detail, but I'm being picky. Enter 84.20 v2... As I said, the performance tweaks didn't do that much for this driver. Image quality is a totally different story though. Textures are much sharper than the stock version, and colours look much better. IMHO, IQ still isn't quite as good as 84.12 v2, but it's got some of the best visuals I've seen lately.http://www.tweaksrus.com/index.php?o...=433&Itemid=43
for me 84.20 its better than 84.12
