just a thankyou to whichever mod deleted those r520 crap reviews.
There is a test here: http://hardinfo.dk/show.asp?desc=3866 only in danish, but still the images speak for themselves.. Their conclusion is that the X1800 might get better scores later on when ATI has had the time to improve and optimise the drivers..
Edit: sorry, it was the same as this one: http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/article/1813/
Which all you most likely have read by now..
and memorized...
dispite the flaws I don't care mostly because I don't use SLI or will I ever because two cards in parrallel=4 monitors
and Three cards=6 monitors...now just to find a mobo with 4 x8 PCI-E slots
lol, with new drivers performance might be improved over time?Quote:

the benched card might only be an x1800LE clocked higher
7800GTX hasn't seen any gains yet....at least not that I've noticed.Quote:

You can buy x1 cards if you only want screen output...or mix and match for that matter...Quote:

This is also the same company who claimed the x800's do trilinear filtering, that we'd have cross-fire BEFORE the R520, that the R520 would be out this summer, that sm3.0 doesn't do anything, that a 32bit fpp isn't needed for anything either...Quote:

They can't say that the results aren't even close when they are infact for real. If they do that they will lose a lot of customers.
A majority of pc hardware buyers don't even read websites about computers. They just walk into a crappy store, and buy whatever the guy tells them to.
Besides, they've lied to us about numerous things, but a fanboy will always be a fanboy, and they know that.
Appologies if this has been brought to light already...
Here's the real motivation behind the Hardware Analysis article Sander did on the R520. Really brings to light how low some people are.

Now that's low...what an * :slapass: :slap:
That's what I just wanted to post.
What an ass :fact:
problem is .... no cards.. can't tell who's making up what... I just can't see giving him the benefit of the doubt... it's just bad reporting to review a card you don't have your mits on...

This has all been turned into a big he-said/she-said battle at this point.
I wonder who put this to inet??? This must be Sander Sassen or Andrzej Bania. I doubt that they did it for any reason. Looks like another crap.
It seems it was originally/also posted by Zardon at DriverHeaven. He had this to say:Quote:

ATI showed me these blackmail emails today and said they didnt mind if I posted them. Andrzej Bania and Chris Hook are ATI PR guys for those who dont know.
BRiT, they have plenty of reason to lie.. it's called a coverup.
Notice that this is now the FOURTH excuse we've heard from ATi on these benchmarks. That's right, FOUR....
Thanks Vapor and TrakSlacker!Quote:

Im trying to catch up on all that I missed, is it safe to say that this latest review may be premature?
One thing people seem to be ignoring is the fact that Chris Hook said there are currently no R520XTs at board partners....guess we won't be able to have them (those of us who aren't named Macci at least) till at least Nov :(
EDIT: Mozzart....even though I don't post at THGC anymore, I remembered that you lived in the gulf coast area and have been reading what's gone on so far--hope things get back in order ASAP!
