same as regular a64's.. unlocked down, locked up.
Yea, same as previous 939 A64s... 9x for the 3000, 10 for the 3200, 11 for the 3500, 12 for the 3800.
thanks thats what i figured but the last chip i owned was mobile XP, so I just wanted to check...
Im getting either the 3500 or 3800.. Im going to wait about 2 weeks after most here receive them to see how they are clocking. I guess AMD paper laumched these, which sucks.
ncix.com has some in .. but not in stock
aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
Can't hold out much longer!
Must get a CPU ASAP!!
I don't see any launchQuote:

Upon reflection, AMD may not WANT to issue an official PR. Certainly not before San Diego parts are also available. Doing so would hurt sales of pre-Venice parts. They may wait until most of the rev D and rev CG stuff is completely gone from the channel.
No one should be using the term "paper launch" for something AMD has not officially launched.
Consider that the distributor document referred to shipping dates. It would not be at all unusual for shipping to precede an official launch by a couple weeks.
That's not a paper launch. That's the very OPPOSITE of a paper launch: shipping (and some early places selling) BEFORE the official PR goes out.
Hey it seems NCIX offeres an immediate refund for backordered items no matter what payment was issued. So I feel better now :toast: If the :banana::banana::banana: softly hits the fan I'm canceling the order.

any updates on Venice? so no one has em yet? well if they shipped on the 4th itll take 2 weeks before they reach vendors anyway
Just got an e-mail from Eric at Monarch a few minutes ago; "Still no valid ETA as of yet." Something smells fishy. :(
I couldnt talk it anymore. I broke down. Found a good deal on a CBBFD 0434MPM. Should be interesting to see how it dose, CBBFD has been hit or miss.
Good thing I will be broke for the next few weeks as I would probably break down as well :D
Was any of this info actually from amd? B/c the more i think about it the more i realise, they've SAID nothing about this, its just their roadmap and the dates came from somewhere. Im not saying those wernt the release dates, but hey, how do we know they are?
Prolly this is the source http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/cont...hange_1_UK.pdf
It does say expected, but still...

Just great. :bananal: :bs:Quote:
Estimate is by the end of the month, but it basically depends on how quickly AMD runs out of Winchesters. None are shipping yet, and even our AMD reps are unr=sure when they'll appear exactly. And there are NO price drops on Winchesters.
@ Tibu YGPM
Yeah, so hurry up and buy up the rest of those Winchesters, guys! ;)Quote:

From the looks of it, AMD just stopped making them. According to this thread on anand, somone baught a 3000+ and got a new stepping. ADA3000DIK4BI LBBID 0512APMW. He hasnt OCed it yet, but I am real curios to see how it does. Watch him get 2.8ghz and everyone say     venice. For your sake, hope its good, because if it is it should speed up winny sales....Quote:

I wouldn't worry about that, Newcastles are still selling reasonably well. Most buyers see that NC = $30 less than Winny, so they by the NC not knowing what the differences are. Assuming the Venice will also have a premium, the same thing will happen.Quote:

And it's not like I don't have any gaming comp right now to play Source and others. Plus I still need a PCI-e 6800 and good 24pin PSU so I guess I'll wait this one out and see what happens.
