200mhz wasnt stable until 3.2vdimm 3.1 was fine but got some errors hence the bottom gone!
210 wasnt stable @ 3.1 either but less errors WTF go figure

this set seems to be doing way better:toast: i didnt hit 260 last time till 3.6 and even then i had to fight it.
OCZ has some awesome RMA services thx alot andyOCZ :toast:

this is just my first set of results. as you know this ram loves to take its time.. hopefully i will be able to hit 263-265 after some more workout!
i think that if i can get this speed my CPU will find a way to follow..

great job on this thread bro i am happy to contribute.. am i the only one that has results for 2-3 sets?

heh i hope mine will act as weird as yours then . i'm currently stuck with 3.1Vdimm and UTT's wont do 215 stable (+300 errors #5) . I havent tried lower , just set everything to default for now . I need proper cooling on my cpu and more volts on my mem .

are you cooling the memeory? also i tried a lower tras and it gave a little more stablity... i have changed my plan! 260 is just fine for me now i am going for tight timeings... :toast:

mem tested at 2,2,2,2,11,15,18,1t in memtest86+ for minimum 1 hour.
3.0v 198fsb
3.1v 217fsb
3.2v 228fsb
3.3v 243fsb

I am still in the burning in process... I just got the sticks yesterday ;)

I will try next with my AI7 to how it compares on an Intel Platform, and then in an A64 platform with a Chaintech VNF3-350 (which I have not bought the CPU yet, and is going to be the home for this memory w/booster).

Hey bro do you still have the results for your first 2 pairs... if not I will search this thread but it would save time if you had them saved somewhere. I'll upgrade your full results real soon... not tonight tho, it's 11pm and i have a sheeeet load of work this week so best get some shuteye.

Aah yeh, massive props to both you and justwOo for tipping me off bout dropping Tras to 8 instead of 10.
I am now Memtest stable at

263 2-2-2-8-7-15 3.3v
260+ (didnt test higher) 2-2-2-8-7-15 3.2v

I can load windows and SuperPI-32mb to at least 268 with same timings... but memtest dont wonna play there. I'm also pretty sure 265 3.3v would be stable if i had better cooling, but right now it's summer and my fan is on the case window rather than directly over the RAM so I only run 256 3.2v for daily play...

I'll post the Tras findings in the first post along with some other timing hints i've come across... once it's up feel free to contribute everyone :D

hey EMU your ram is EXACTLY like mine. I have VX and on my DFI LPB NF2 I can only get to exactly 243 with 3.3v. I have been trying to burn in 244 for weeks now but to no prevail. The errors are much less but are still there. I too am running 2 x 512mb sticks. I would be VERY curious to know if you get higher than 243 and how. PM me if you want to share info, compare notes etc.

When I was first testing the memory, I would get a bunch of errors at 244 every other pass. Last night I was burning in at that setting, and I was getting far less. About 2 every 10 passes. I also tryed 245, and I was getting about the same amount that I got the first day at 244. Burning in seems to be doing something, but 244 isnt error free yet.

I think I am going to order some alu ramsinks (not the heatspreader) and use some Ceramique and a dab of superglue to adhere them to each chip (just enough so they hold, but still removable). Also I am going to mod a fan to cool them... I think I need some plexi so I can make a mount that is not only effective, but nice looking as well ;)

Exactly like me EMU. My errors are getting less at 244 but stilil not completely gone. In 270 passes I had 12 errors one night but then the next night I had 24 errors in 100 passes. Go figure?

that sux bro... hav you tried the modules individually jus to make SURE it isnt one dodgy IC on one of the modules? If it is you may be able to exchange one of the modules for a matching one

My new VX don't do well. Even at 200HTT, 3.2V, 2-2-2-8 it gives me errors in memtest. This with 1T and interleaving on.
Could someone with a DFI nf3 give me a complete list of timings? I've only set them to 2-2-2-8, 1T and interleaving. The rest of the timings is on auto.
This is dissapointing as my BH5 does 270 2-2-2-5 (2x256MB).

w0rd,, 3.2v, 3.3v sweet for me...higher = errors..

I run my single 512mb stick of VX (one is faulty, have to RMA them both :(
1.5-2-2-5-7-16 @ 265mhz @ 3.3v
fine at 260mhz @ 3.2v, havent tried higher with 3.2v

Here ya go bro, this is in the order shown in the DFI nF3 754 LanPartyUT BIOS...
1T-2-2-8-2-7-15-0-3-1-2-3072-1-Increase-255-Level2

Also, if you get errors try changing Tref to 3120 instead of 3072, and playing round with Tras can do a lot of good too...

Thanks alot for the help but it still gives me 4 errors in test 5, first pass.
Some observations: when interleaving is set to disabled, I get more errors. . 200Mhz at 3.2V, 4 errors per pass, 240Mhz at 3.4 gives me only 2 errors per pass. When I up the voltage I get more errors (probably heat issue).
But still .... 200Mhz 2-2-2-5 and 3.2V should be memtest error free, these are stock speeds.
Maybe I've got a bad stick, will test them seperately. I will also try Tref 3120 and try them in dimm1 and 2 (they are now in dimm1 and 3).

it will also cause your performance to drop a noticable amount... keep that in mind
