@RSC
I dont know any 120hz IPS monitors,i heard LG makes one.
But what it has to do with anything i said in that part of my post ?
Its not a counter argument, youre just manipulating to get one thing that doesnt fit, ignoring all the other factors.
You said earlier that in the process of buying monitors people doesnt use logic, they dont buy best of the best ,and they dont go for the highest res.So in your opinion theyre not taking into account any highest specs.
And now youre telling me only monitors worth playing at are 120hz TN`s.Which is bull, but thats beside the point.And is totally irrelevant, unless of course you can provide me with a statistic that 120hz TN below 1920x monitors are the majority for dual gpu cards enthusiasts :rolleyes:
And yes, i am narrowing a field.I build pc`s as a hobby and a side business.
There are two types of people who buy high end GFX.
A) Enthusiasts, they DO know what and why theyre buying.So their decision is knowledge and logic based, they usually own high end monitors (even CRT`s) ,they use their pc for work and gaming.High res.
B) People with loads of cash who want the highest numbers on everything, they get big high res monitors so a builder can make more money and they have bragging rights.
If a enthusiast has small res monitor he knows he doesnt need dual gpu monster.
Loads od cash people dont get cheap monitors cause they arent big ,expensive and look crap.
Comparing any card to any card is a logical ( i know, nobody uses logic) way of determining a) performance delta and b) gains from moving forward/backward, comparing between friends, explaining "the gain" to a customer etc etc.
It doesnt make it "all round" better tho, but "more well rounded" if you want to use such weird wording.I would say it wins some and loses some, or wins in low res and loses in high res.Quote:
1- In five resolutions tested, it won three, tied one and lost one. That makes it more well rounded.
No i havent seen many 6990 overvolted or blow up.Has to make you wonder why does it ?Ati world conspiracy ? Masons ? Or maybe 590 is more prone to that.I gues we will never know.
As for the eyefinity, yes it seems while single screen AMD with higher res gains, in multi monitor setup nvidia has some trick up its sleeve to remain competetive.It doesnt destroy 6990 in any way tho.
