I haven't noticed any difference in that, the only difference is when I put the cpu back to stock and the board "OC" itself alone :/
And this bios 1253, made me pass 5ghz, the older one didn't.
I guess I'm going to wait for another BIOS

I but together my SB system then i updated the bios to 1253 and here my first OC result :)

But When "idle" my processor clocks down to 1.6 ghz,
Is it better to keep this feature or should I disable it ?
For thermal management, Intel Speedstep on the 2nd gen is better left enabled - don't see any reason to have it disabled tbh.
Just curious; you screenys is kinda off, CPUID shows other values than your Realtemp. In addition, are you on wc solution? (I guess your Realtemp frame on the screeny is on a idle status since it's load shows 2,9%)
First attempt on 2600k Batch#L040B165 , on ASUS P8P67 Deluxe, so far so good.

Just a little 10-min prim to get a feel of my new babe. Looks like a promising 24/7 OC, but this is not final yet, so far so good.

Good results here....

I just want my CPU run at OC speed all the time , cuase i only use my system for gaming , i know it will run at OC speed unde load , but i like to keep it alwayse at maximum speed .
Also disabling EIST in bios not solve the problem , maybe i will try disabla all the power saving featues .
Yes the CPU on idle @1.6ghz , i use TRUE with 2 fansQuote:

I'm using AUTO and getting VCCIO=1.05000. I was thinking to increase the VCCSA for 4.8GHz+, but didn't have time to test it yet, what are you guys using for VCCSA?
Stock here for VCCSA and IO... on Pro and DLx
Am i missing something here? when i go to my EFI under Ai tweaker i don't see the Turbo Ratio everybody is talking about..
Yeah, as other has mentioned, that's a Silver Arrow with stock fans push/pull + MX2.
That's a great cooler, and it's running pretty cool for now, but that's a low vCore, so we have to see how far it can keep up.
Thx for the input on VCCSA guys :).
I've been playing with GTX560, fresh OS install, downloads, etc.. all at the same time, and didn't have much time to play with CPU, sometimes too much fun can get in the way, LOL.
In BIOS, set the cpu multiplier to "by each core" instead of "by all cores" (the opposite of what it says you should do). Boot into windows and load AI Suite. The CPU Ratio tab will be there. Click the "go" button to allow AI Suite to enable the ratio setting and reboot. It should work after that.

2x4gb G.Skill
Asus P8P67 Pro
OCZ Agility 2 SSD
1 hour down 7 more to call it stable. Was hoping to do 1.35v@4.8ghz but gonna have to be 1.37v. L042B291 is just a average batch.
Hi Guys,
This morning I finally haf the the to build my new P8P67 Pro - 2500K setup. I installed windows and started to OC. i first read some guids as I come from S775. I have a problem though:
I raised the multiplier to 45 to get a 4500Mhz OC. However in windows when stressed (Prime95) the speed only goes up to stock (3.3).
What am I missing here????
(I installed the last CPU-Z 1.56.3 which displays 3.3GHz. I also get this value in the Asus Turbo V software)
Nailed down a good low volt 24/7 OC. I may try to push further later tho, but I'm happy already.

well , my best stable OC result

I can push the cpu to 5ghz but not worth the extra volt and heat , also i can push the memory to 2133 , but i think 1867 is good enough :)
Which Bios ?
1.38v 8Hrs prime stable. Time to play with my memory timings now.
