So what was going on there? Who knows...you literally would have to have a bios coder participating on this forum to know what is being changed, when something like that happens.
Now there IS a difference in using a $250 board and a $100 board (not even sure if you can buy a $100 board). The $100 board's VRM's are a lot cheaper, with far fewer phases, and thus the voltages will not be as strong/stable, and that can limit overclocking.
Don't want to say anything about that for now becuse i've to test it better. On M4E the 5660mhz was 20mins of job. Simple as that..
Maybe with new bios the things would change.

Same voltage (on gb after vdrop). But still, the board is heavy to work with. Once it boots, it works okay but you've to spent time and time to boot successful. I can do x56 on it too but can dream of doing 32M at 56xxMHz as I've done on M4E.

You cann't compare UD4 and MIVE.Same as compare DDR3 1600 and DDR3 2133.
Okay that's for sure but even on this board, the cpu should run on 50mhz lower freq the same bench, right?
I know comparing M4E with UD4 is silly but with Sandy Bridge there are no big (200mhz+) differences between two (or more) boards and I'm not saying the board is heavy to work with because I can't reach the same freq as on M4E but the problems of getting it work on every freq above 5,5ghz.
