Ok here is my little DES2 test.
1. I uninstalled DES2
2. Restarted PC
3. Installed DES2
4. Restarted PC
5. Started DES 2

6. I played with DES2 for a while turning it on and enabling Dual Power and the various power saving levels.
7. I turn DES2 off via the Button in the program and BAM!!! :shocked:

I left the whole desktop there so you can see the clock. 2 minutes later i'm at 1.57v....
By the way i shrunk the images so they don't overtake the thread. The writing is quite small but the voltage on the second picture is 1.572v

I'm running it at 1.26v, but what im saying is that when i enable Dymanic Engergy saving 2, and then disable it, the software puts my CPU Vcore at 1.572v i didn't do that...The software is doing it, that's the problem.Quote:

Its an issue and must be comunicated. Many many ppl use mobo softwares without caring about the values behind it. Migh cause heavy damage if th cpu goes away in a few months of use.Quote:

Initially I was not able to use Des in W7 64 bits NL.
Once I activated Des, the programme freezed.
later changed to modus to Vista and afterwards I was able to use Des.
I'm running at 4400mhz ram2133mhz all settings in Bios AUTo.
When I activate Des my voltage in Easy Tune remains the same, only when
I just activated Dual Power I got a Bsod and my pc crasht.
Perhaps the current Bios is not yet stable enough to work correctly with

Today when I changed my settings from 4200 to 4400 during rebooting
I got the msg. your pc recovered from a overclock" and the ram was
defaulted to 1333mhz.
Bios F7a is quite nervous and trust future bios will be more stable.
Was albe to run 47 x 100 with all settings auto, at 4800 mhz with all on
auto unable to boot.

assuming same is a result that the new Sandybrdige chip data is not yet being read correctly.

So you are trying to do 4.5ghz with DES2? Hmm what settings do you have in BIOS? when i set it to auto it gives me 1.35v for 4.5ghz which is because of SVID. See what happens when you leave vcore on auto and set 45x multi. IDk why DES2 is doing this, it is very weird, maybe its not properly configured for P67, that is all i can think of. BTW you can use that voltage read point in my review in the review sections to find actual vcore, maybe its a software glitch.
Would it be possible that you give a short Guide of the settings which you
can change manually to achieve a low possible Voltage (in my case 4400mhz)
but still have a stable platform.
Since this board is brand new, we are basically now encountering problems/
clitches which apparenlty did not surface during beta testing by GB?
On the otherhand when did Intel release Processors for the MB manufacturers
for testing?
At the moment Vcore is set to 1.265v with LLC Level 1. Ram is set to 1866 with 1.54v otherwise everything else if left on auto. I'll test it again tomorrow with Auto settings and see how DES2 responds to that. I'm assuming it's due to the Beta bios i'm using (F7A) or as you put it, it's not entirely compatible with P67 yet.Quote:

only to recover tback to MAIN bios F4
so running at auto at 4400mhz with ram 2133mhz and activating
des in W7 does not work well.
for the time being I'm not going to use des.
Running at 3400mhz bios F4 with DES on so far no Crash, looks like higher settings
create severe instability.
It happens when you go from an enabled DES to a disabled DES, is that correct? Maybe enabling and then disabling DES somehow resets the Vcore setting in the BIOS and it puts itself back on Auto? Kind of like sleeping will cause the BIOS to lose the overclock on some boards?Quote:
