that sounds very un-nvidia like;) but only time will tell
lol why would nvidia shut up if they knew they had a cayman beater in their hands and knew when it was coming , they would be shouting it from the rooftops to make ppl wait for it , they wont keep quiet and let ppl buy cayman if their card was coming only a month or so later (460 release and barts noise ?) they dont know how cayman is , what they know is they need to beat it , once they have a target they will know when they can get a faster card to us. Either ways sometime post feb 2011 seems to be a realistic date. In a month cayman will be out after that the rumors about the nvidia card should be more accurate I feel , its one more month for nvidia to work on their card as well.
They don't know what Cayman or Antilles can do. The 480 was fastest single GPU, but they damaged their reputation so much they only have 20% of the DX11 market. 5870 prices went up after the first week, and then went up again when the 480 came out.
But we already know all this, I guess nvidia will shut up and only make promises it can deliver on, because Q4 2009 was painful to watch.
