Ill give an old 4200+ a spin tonite on cinebench and see what it can do in comparison to the new architectures :)
I'll beat you to the punch. ;) And here's a near cream of the crop K8 at that. I think I can do 3.5Ghz on his 6400+ I just have it at 3.4Ghz 24/7. This Zalman 9500 isn't the best for air on this thing.Quote:

Well here is my try again with a 4200+
Need better cooling though as it hit 53 degrees on this run :S
I think mine hit 60C. This 6400+ runs quite hot. I think 1.6-1.7+ may be achievable with a clean install and under 64 bit. I may try for higher clock speeds tonight, but honestly its just interesting to compare the architecture improvements from K8 to K10.5.Quote:

I opened the balcony to cool the air inside the room to ~10C, that's what i meant in the previous post ;)

This is a result from 2 minutes (literally) of tweaking. The ambient temp is 20C. It took me more time to write the post and upload the screenshot.
I'm too sleepy now to aim for the maximum, but I will do it some other day.

I have my 720 BE I plan to get setup soon I can compare with. In the mean time, a good friend of mine is scoring 3.3 I believe with his 720 BE at 3.6Ghz. You should try to bump your NB speed more you should see good gains if you can get it around 2800-3000Mhz.Quote:
