my mobo is dead... i tried modding my TTGI 3,3V with 37ohm fixed resistor and 10 KOhm VR... All is black screen... maybe also my TTGI 520W is dead... were Resistences and VR values correct?
I took the ground fron molex, was it ok?
i'm very upset :(
your supposed to test it without a mobo first. are you sure you have the variable pot on full resistance with ground first?
yes pot with full res... how can i test it without the mobo? what are the wires i have to connect together?
sorry for the OT :(
connect the GREEN wire on the ATX connector to any ground. it will turn on...
thx :toast:
I still want to see a 3dmark bench at the highest possible fsb you can run at. Preferably with an R9700 or R9800 agp vid card. I couldn't bench above 315 myself. Someone give it a go. I don't care about score you get. Just need to know if you can get it to work or not.
What freq is the crystal on your card comparred to on a 5900/5950/whatever?
I can bench with the CPC enable at 355MHz and with the CPC disable at 362MHz fsb Dual DDR........The problem is that I have a 9600XT(not mine) witch will be fine I think.... I can also find a "default" GeForce 5950 ultra to do so........BUT I have a cold boot problem at 346MHz fsb so I have boot and go into windows with 345MHz fsb and "play" with the clockgen to do so......Then the 3DMark will "see" the booted fsb which will be 345MHz ........Quote:

try to set the FSB with clockgen and logoff with windows and log in again

Maximum i managed to get from my old early P4P800 sample - 340FSB 3DMarkable.
impressive 340 fsb with p4p800 O_o... is it rev 2.0?
Will it works???.....I'll give it a try ...Thanks....... :D :toast:Quote:

No, that's one of the earliest samples, ASUS sent it just after release...
i see... i've been told that p4c800 rev 2.0 are much more stable regarding vcore stability
hipro5 ' i have few question to u :
1.what HDD are u using and to where u connect them ?(promise / intel chip )
2.what is the temp's of the chip set ?
question 4 all :
i have the 2.8C M0 and i cant do anything above the 250 FSB :(
the setup:
p4c800 delux (memory volt modded
geil 3700 golden dregon
HDD's : seagate 80GB
seagate 120GB 8MBcache SATA on ICH5
leadtek 5600
zalman 7000CU
i fixed the agp/pci to 66/33 MHz
voltages:
memory 2.75V
cpu : 1.6V
what should i do ?
and of course :
hipro5 well done!
what does memtest say? i think if the memis 1:1 then its maxed, otherwise try more vcore
1. I'm using Western Digital 80GB JB(not SATA) alone or 2 x WD 80GB JB on a Highpoint RAID controlerQuote:

2. The temp on the chipset(Northy) is about 42*C......One of these days I'll waterpelt it.... ;)
Try to unlock the AGP/PCI to see how it does.......

hmm, everything is possible, though i tried 5 different P4P800 (including rev.2.0) and no one can even come close to that one - 320FSB was the max for the best from other 4 boards. One died with smoke under NB while i tried 290 for the first time on it (couldn't work on 300 at all), two was around 300 and one - 320.
My current P4C800-E maxes out on 320 too (still on aircooled NB but i don't think it'll help to raise clocks) :(
i have a 3.0C so 300x15=4500 i dont need more really ;) But i was wondering why rev 2 boards are so bad
