Looks good but they will have one more update before Free-DC's "day" is finished. :yepp:
And no, I don't know exactly when that is :am:
You'll know if you missed it when everyone magically has 0 points
Then it displays the last ten people who signed up and gives them all 10% of the pie.
And a last no, I ain't making this bs up
ps. I'll try to check when I get up (about 4:30 AM EST)
Did Otis11 mention something about him being out 6-1? so they must reset the day maybe @ midnight EST?
Absolute end of day pie! :p:

Yeah... I'm about 30 min early tonight, so base if off the time you see this was posted. If I get home then I can catch it, but if I'm much later I've found I miss it. As far as I can tell they have rolling updates, so pie can change up till 0:00 GSM iirc. I think that's the acronym.
And great job posting the pie Capt!
As far as if you're doing it right...I only have one rule - fly by the seat of your pants and pray. It normally works out. :p:
So 2am your time is 3am my time I believe.

Where's the power going fellas? Pie now takes half of what it used to... :shakes:
I thought with winter production would be up. Did I miss something?
Have to order more cards then
Yes, but which?
People join but do not stay long. Dunno why.
I think that a couple of the big crunchers at the very top reached their short term goals on this project and have switched over to something else ... most notably DAK and JackofAll. Road Runner was also in the top 5 for pie for a while but he has moved on also. We thank them all for getting us to number two with their awesome points production :clap:Quote:

Some people come and go between projects just to try new things or they get a change in focus like bio, astrophysics, cool science (LHC), or pure math projects). Some people start crunching and then either can't deal with the heat, electricity bill, start to get worried about the wear and tear on their components and then you have some that have OC'd so high they are actually not quite stable for 24/7 crunching so get frustrated with the constant issues that come with that territory. Have I dropped GPUGrid for periods of time ... yes ... for all of the reasons above at one time or another.Quote:

Other people have been here quite some time, come back or simply crank out big numbers without so much as uttering a peep. I admire their perseverance and humility :worship:

Because the new Nvidia cards are not out yet (and likely won't be affordable for a few more months) and we don't really know were GPUGrid is going with ATI at this moment I would go with the 275. There have been some problems with 260s and the 285 doesn't get you much more because it really is a crap shoot on the shader OC and you will pay a pretty hefty premium for this card.Quote:
Yes, but which?
I can only handle one more top end card and will likely wait it out to see what happens with GPUGrid/ ATI and the new Nvidia cards before buying.
This gives you guys an opportunity to push me out of the running for positions 4-6 on the pie. The three of us are so closely matched I think if none of us slips (I had an errant downclock the other day) then daily positions are dictated by the luck of the draw on which WUs we get.
The luck of the draw eh? Funny saying that while many people are in Las Vegas for the meetup and convention:rofl:
I would assume no but can you mix cards on a board? 1-260 and 1-275 on 1 board or is that not recommended; like I said I think I already know the answer:cool:
... actually it looks like you can ...

Is this an attempt to get me to put my 285 onto the same mobo as the 295 and see me pie starved for a couple of days when I fail miserably
But really ... if you don't already have different cards to test this out with I will consider doing it. I think I may need to get a dummy plug
I've run 260's with 275's for ages with no problems ;)
Thanks guy's:up:- I have a few GTX 260's and might a 275 (or 2:rolleyes:) and was not sure if I could double up the dif cards on the ssame board

Great job guys!
And my thoughts:
I'm waiting to see how ATI works out and what Fermi does (supposably out end of Jan or early Feb :wasntme: )
People coming and going - Enjoy are their help... Thank you guys! My only hope is that you are contributing somewhere. Doesn't matter what project in my mind because it's all about learning. Every project that gets finished brings us more knowledge and understanding.
