Its like how much is this guy getting payed to advertise this board?
I'm going to be picking up yet another NF2 board.. Is it gona be DFI? Nope.. Not with those crappy little Mosfets and voltage probs. I dont care how high it can go.. it wont be stable for long at high voltages on the vcore and vdimm.. Whats the point?
I'm picking up another NF7-S 2.0 and a AN7.. I'll keep the one that gives me the stable high overclock.

You dont have to dissapear.. A new bios is good in all but i dont see whats its gona help if the real problem lies in the voltage regulators?
Why dont you touch on the boards voltage problems insted?

Damn, its sad that Iolao has had problems in the end...even with cooling south and mosfs...OSKAR if you are still around(i really hope you are),tell us,is there any way for those voltage stability probs to be solved?Iolao have u tried 2volts vcore with lower FSB and higher multi??Probs with that too?
My 2 cents - we have a diverse group here OSKAR. Don't let a few doubters scare you away, doubting is one of the things that add some spice to some great overclock work.

yah... most of us appreciate your support and we have a bunch of people willing to try new beta bios's and new boards. For a smaller forum, we sure have a lot of guys that have already ditched an AN7 and have one of these in the mail. Truly diseased. :D

I give mad props to those that edit bios's and drivers for us OC'ers. The 3d mark champs get there props. But this.... It's a neat alternative and another example of taking a hobby to the next level. Kudos.
I'm starting to think it's also high fsb related. When I wasn't having any prob I remember I was set @ 227 with 2v vcore, from when I started testing prime again at higher fsb (237-242) problem reappeared.Quote:

this mobo has the same vdd mod as the AN7. no i wont test it. LOL
but one thing i noticed... HAND SOLDERED RESISTOR.
look just under the dimm slots. i dont know if this has been covered but mines got a lil hand soldered resistor there. anyone else have it?

Man, you have no experience with this board what so ever and here you are talking like you've owned it your whole life. Sure the mosfet are small, but what does that mean exactly? Is'nt smaller sometimes better? Lets ask Intel and AMD that question. I've been running a full week at 240x10 1.9v and not one hicup. As for how much he getting paid, I would say alot since he's in charge of DFI's bios team. He's hear to solve/help our problems and to see how else he can make this board better. Good job O, and let me know where this new beta bios is.

What are you talkin about? I had that board in my possession for over a week runing with water cooling.. I gave that board a few chances after i packaged it all back up.. even after i got my RMA.Quote:

Dont get me wrong.. i loved all the "Bling Bling" with that DFI LP U B. I loved it.. But every board i love ends up being a dud. Everything with it owned but what good is it all if the board is handycaped with terrible voltage probs??? Its not gona run very fast.. which really dont make sense making beta BIOS for an already doomed board from the factory.. Yeah hey ya can run at 260-300 FSB with some Cas 3 4000+ ram but once ya turn up the voltage.. BAM! No more fun.
Have fun with your new board.. I guess some people will only believe what they want to hear. But please, go buy the board and see for yourself.
Oh and no i dont need my moding tools for the AN7.. Its got everything you could want.. and better yet, Randi has in his hands a beta bios for it. :) Future looks bright to me.

I don't own the LPRev B, so I don't know nothing about it. All I know is what I see with this Infinity. Since the beginning of this year, I've owned MSI, Abit, Epox and DFI Rev A, and Infinity. This Infinity board by far is the best. What's funny is hearing you talk about this voltage problem. A simple bios fix might fix the problem with 2.0v ( in my case ), or it might not. For example, a simple bios fix already fix one voltage problem. But so far with all the so called voltage problems, it's still the fastest board I've owned. So if my proc doesn't like 2.0v or if it's my motherboard, I guess I am going to have to deal with it. Hell, some boards don't even have 2.0v.Quote:

For me it seems it is less stable than the one from 12/10/2003 :(
