so is this going to become the official users thread too? :-)
I bet it does!
Sorry you missed this thread lately, we should have PM'd you as much as you have posted on this one!
So did you order a UD7 yet?
I ordered one from the Egg today since the 10% Bing discount came back.
So $349.99 plus 11 for 3 day shipping less $35 Bing discount. Net was $325.
Want to see if this thing can get an i7 920 over 222x21 with HT enabled running Vantage and 3Dmark06.
The R2E can only do 218 BClk for me on all the R2Es I've had.
Thanks for the info...
I just found this board for 258 euro, which is again a little bit acceptable almost (45 euro more expensive than the UD5 and cheaper than the UD5-Extreme??)
So I am considering the UD7 once again (although it has waaaaaay too many SATA ports)
Thanks a lot for this very usefull information!
Do you know if stuff like the pci-e mod is also done on these revised UD5s?
Ordered from from NCIX today. Hoping for 4.8GHz now that I won't be motherboard limited

I ordered my GA-X58A-UD7 today
Hi stasio
Thank you very much for the Link :-) Faster then G....
Finally ordered one UD7 that is 'really' in stock (previous order got delayed).
Also bought the Holy Grail batch of the i7 920 D0's: 3849A832
* Tests incoming next week *
Just got mine. Installed and running at first attempt settings which is 4200/1750-12GB (175*24). i'll post back later after i figure this bios out. So far i'm impressed. The board sure feels solid. Must be that xtra copper. Hardly no flex. I hate that the ad--on nb cooler takes up the pci-1x slots. I wanted to be able to do 3-way sli and still keep my xonar.
So far i cant get stable above 4200mhz. Lets hope its just early bios or (most likely) lack of bios knowledge. I've used many templates from the X58-UD5 thread as well as the settings i was running on the Classified with this CPU and Memory. So far nothin has worked from the UD5 thread. 24x175 for 4200 with 12GB @ 1750 cl8 is my best so far. Got a long day tomorrow so testing has officially been suspended for tonight. I'll run p95 over night with my current settings. C'mon new bios lol. It does recover from bad OC settings a lot better/faster than my classified did.
Nice Clocks!!! Any chance of getting your bios settings??? here's a template, just fill in teh blanks :) Thanks so much!!

With that much ram, you are stressing the IMC way too much. Either remove 6gb, or lower latency to cas 9 and up your VTT. Also, make sure your B2B is between 4 and 6.
You can start with the VTT and B2B, if that doesnt work, try cas 9, and if that doesnt, then pull some ram.
You will probably need about 1.4VTT.
Also, even multis are never as stable as odd ones. Try using 23.
