Patience my friend, patience.
Anyone has recently bought a 2x2GB CSX Diablo3 2000 from http://com-discount.de/?
I would like to confirm they are actually mounting D9GTS ICs before buying.
RAM~ 1,925~1,932v
1800 7-6-5-18 1T 32M done

If you need the 2 x 2gb kit in GTS go there :
http://www.hpm-computer.de/product_i...00-DIABLO.html
I'm so desperate to found them in 2gb ( 2 * 1gb) kit that I wonder if I will order them or not, Is this harder to (over)clock the 2 * 2gb kit over the 2*1gb ?
D9GTR kit ( 2*1gb) still in progress, I'm now able to pass 16M now but had to bump the Vdimm to 2.24v for that (VNB @ 1.71v , over didn't help me more)
:bounces:
Finaly , I got it, 32M passed with ram at 2000 cas7

VNB was 1.69v instead of the 1.71v showed and I had to go on strapp 400 to catch it, I'm really happy to have it succeed.
Thanks Tomati and congrats :)
Sorry I haven't responded sooner but am stuck at work for at least another week. I received my 2 x 2 kit from this site, shipping was immediate (next day arrival and yes they are GTS.) They are a little more expensive but they are GTS. In the little time I had at home it was frustrating to say the least trying to get them above 1600 on the Rampage Extreme until I started playing with the skews, etc. (Big Thanks for the tips, Kasparz) Before I left I was stable @ 1800 mhz 2.01 V , 1.93 actual. When I get home I will be trying for 1866 which seems to be the pretty much the limit for the 2 x 2 kit.
Regards,
GriZ
Expat GriZ, would you like to share your skew settings?
I finally got 600FSB with cas 7 to work. :)

This ram is very impressive, i'm sure i can do with less Vdimm if i lower FSB freq.
Running 10x450 1:2 DDR1800 7-6-5-18 as 24/7 setting with just 2.02V.
Zeus; I would love to but I am currently working in Almeria, Spain and won't be home till next week!! I almost thought of packing the board, power supply, memory, etc. with me but the wife started to give me " the look". If I remember correctly I was advancing the REF A & Ref B about 250 ms or ps (can't remember the units), NB was Advanced 12.5ms Sorry but can't be more help at the moment.
GriZ
hi guys, i have a rampage extreme and i am testing diablo 2x1gb 2000, how much vNB i must put for take 1866(933) 8-7-6-15 stable ??
Depending on your chipset cooling and how good your NB is, i'd say somewhere between 1.4 and 1.45V should do.
So any news on when this are coming to US?
I really think this would be like Sanyo Denkis once they hit US stores...
Its all up to stores now, we're doing our best.
Kasparz
Keep me updated on which stores will have them as soon as they confirm it to you. Im really (REALLY) interested on this. (I think you know this more than anyone else xD)
I do and i really know how it feels to watch all big boys overclocking stuff that you can't get. Same happened to me few years ago :)
Im glad you know how Im feeling right now :)
Like I said, if anything comes up just post it here or PM me. I can wait a little more for now ^^ (currently buying WC parts)
started testing my new GTR 2000mhz kit...it`s 7-6-5-15 - 1800mhz..picture is a bit crapped..

One question for all of you with Diablos
What voltage do you use on your sticks for 24/7?
Did you change the Diablo heatsinks for a different one? Do you use fans over the RAM? Are you water cooling the RAM?
I'm using 2.05V for DDR1800 7-6-5-16.
Did not change the heatspreaders and have a dominator ramcooler over them.
Even at 2.2V under load (SuperPi 32M) they barely got warm.
Zeus
I thought all the ROG boards had this problem which they would overvolt the RAM. Could you confirm to me if the Rampage Extreme overvolts or not?
According to the LCD poster and Asus probe the Vdimm is spot on.
I haven't poked around with a DMM but i think it will be a bit difficult as the heatpipe assembly is probably in the way.
I think 2.05V is pretty safe, even if it overvolts 0.05V it's still within specs of the ram.
I don't really understand the paranoia about putting some volts on DDR3, 2.3V for just benching should be no problem with a fan over them.
Haven't heard of anyone killing DDR3 with Micron chips with just 2.3V, have you?
Well couple of pages back there is a guy who had a dead pair of Diablos on his (I believe) Striker II.
I dont think it was the voltage, but probably the board. Anyways, Im planning on using fans on top of the Diablos and no more than 1.90 just to be on the safe side.
I havent really heard anybody killin it with 2.3v yet, but I dont want to be the first one to say it neither :P and like you said, as long as you are benching it fora while, its ok I guess.
1.90V - 1800mhz - 8-7-6-15 or 1.95V - 1800mhz 7-6-5-15 for 24/7 usage.
about the Vdimm dont ever give more than 2.25V-2.35V if you want to keep them for a while..
1.90V - 1800mhz - 8-7-6-15
That sounds.... GREAT!
Hello Kasparz, hi Slim142 & also to everyone else
I'm going to purchase a kit of 4Gb Diablo3 2000 & have some questions (i've been speaking this afternoon with Elsa Hathway CSX about it but haven't got a clear response yet)
what chips are better for OC, GTS or GTR?? Right now my Crucial has D9GTS
I've seen some confusing info regarding timings for 2000 on 790i Ultra for this RAM
CSX site quotes for 4Gb kit & 790i:
GTR chip & 8-7-6-19 2,0-2,1V
local estore http://www.recursopc.com/diablo-over...d-p-74191.html
max. setting for NVIDIA nF790i: 2000MHz 8-8-8-28 2,0-2,1V (command rate: 2T).
http://www.com-discount.de/FMPro?-DB...=ALL&-FINDALL=
states 2 different timings for 790i
2000MHz 8-8-8-28 2,0-2,1V (command rate: 2T) &
2000MHz 8-7-6-19 2.0 - 2.1V (command rate: 1T)
http://www.highflow.nl/index.php?tar...product_id=677
This site states the same as CSX except for command rate which is 2 instead of 1
GTR: NVIDIA nF790i: 2000MHz 8-7-6-19 2,0-2,1V (command rate: 2T)
http://www.hpm-computer.de/product_i...00-DIABLO.html
GTS type nF790i: 2000MHz 10-9-9-24 1.90V (command rate: 2T)
Apart from different D9 chips, are there also different timings kit for same chip? or is it all a confusion from websites?
Below are the different max settings I found for Nvidia 790i
Official CSX info for 4GB kit=GTR chip & 8-7-6-19 2,0-2,1V
Info according various Webs:
GTR 2000MHz 8-8-8-28 2.0 - 2,1V (command rate: 2T).
GTR 2000MHz 8-7-6-19 2.0 - 2.1V (command rate: 1T)
GTR 2000MHz 8-7-6-19 2.0 - 2,1V (command rate: 2T)
GTS 2000MHz 10-9-9-24 1.90V (command rate: 2T)
1 Can you clarify this please?
2 Has an 8GB config of this RAM been tested on Striker II Extreme? If so, what timings/speed?
3 Right now I'm using 4x1GB Crucial Ballistix 2000 at 1800 8-7-7-24 1T, 1.9v D9GTS chips - Linked/synced with FSB. Can you guarantee that Diablo3 4Gb kit will also aperate at least at same speed/timings?
Thanks for your help
