you always manage to squueze the max out of your hardware giorgos i got an e8400 and e8500 coming on monday and will keep the best one but it looks like the e8500 has the edge with a lower vid and the extra .5 multiplier

What are your bios settings! I too have a maximus with a e8400 and would like to 4.5G 24/7. Right now I am at 4.3G with 1,35Vcore but my temps go as high as core1 49-54 & core2 53-60!

Just remember that number is not measured at the same spot as what CoreTemp is reporting. The Intel number is measured at the geometric center of the IHS so CoreTemp numbers can go higher since they are measuring at the hottest points on the two cores.Quote:

I have a Q745 slapl chip w/ a packdate of 12/20/07 from microcenter
so far I'm still testing but its running 9x450 for 4050 atm w/ 1.304 about 6 hrs Prime stable so far gonna let it go overnight and then push for more. its got a Vid of 1.1125v seems pretty typical so far.

Still working on high clocks, but nice to know that 4.05Ghz is rock solid with 1.275v. :D
