definitely need backplates for all blocks, especially mosfet
Perhaps you'd better connect CPU - Mosfets in paralel - NB - VGA - SB...
Very nice pictures, i'm planing to buy exactly those blocks to my maximus and 8800GT. What tubing are you using? Did you need to mod the supreme anything to make it fit?
I look forward to see temps :)
Do you think it would be a good idea to use a T connector, like this:
---> T connector --> CPU --> VGA --- T connector
--> MOSFET -->MOSFET --> NB -- SB
I don't know what's the best way...
looks good but you could easily re-route it so that the cpu gets first water...
not that it would matter much. more psychological for me
So whats the best method to go about removing the stock cooling ? I have already been using my board since launch so im pretty sure the thermal paste has set.
Thanks for the pictures boy's.
Pete, I love your PC's memory sinks....
I want enouigh for 4 sticks or ram! Did you do them custom? If not, who makes them? :)
The rest of your rig is looking steller too.
That GPU block should do well for you.
shim-on, Thanks for the NB picts again. It does look like we will still be able to mount it OK. Did you feel like the block was making good, flat, contact before the angle of the bolt became an issue?
It looks like the lower you need to go, before the block begins to push agains the NB, the more the angled bolts would become a factor.
I guess as long as we are able to tighten it down, we should still be fine.
I think we can work with this....
I guess the spare ring will be installed the next time I need to open my loop.
My WaterKegIII Xtreme arrives tomorrow FedEx, and I know I'll want to install my NB block 'as is' when it makes it here too.
Hair dryer :) I showed that I had very strong therma pad there. I was at Malik when he was removing his cooling, and his gone much easier. So don't worry if it need time when you can remove it.
I'm sure that surface of block make good contact with the chipset. And I didn't use too much power to tighten it down.
and here goes temperatures:
MOBO: 30C (86F)
CPU: 35C
NB: 33C (91)
SB: 35C (95F)
GPU: 31C (88F)
Reading is after whole night of computer running. I use ThermoChill PA120.3 with 6 fans, but for now only 3 works and during this night they were on 5V.
I've connected 6 fans for a 10 minutes (10V) and now CPU is 28C (82F)
Thanks for the info...
Looking good on temps shim-on!
On closer inspection, I think you're right. Apologies if I misled anyone there.
No poblem... ;)
Cheers dude, They are made by someone here and are totaly custom and are heavy as anything!
LOL not sure if mine, or 1 of the 8 women that live with me! They all had a poke & a prod at it
Still no NB block, had to wait 7 days for my order anyway (not just ek stuff) and the NB was left out and now been 3 days on that. Kinda anyod
ok EK realy wondering if shipping issue have my order is there any customs numbers you could track? order shipped on the 23rd last month will be 3 weeks in 2days.:(
Day 22 for me, and no block here.... I want to see the day EK shipped my 'paid in full' Nov 20th order.
They didn't need time for my PayPal/Visa transaction to clear. It was instant.
WaterKegIII Xtreme made it here today, so my NB block is holding the show up for sure now....
I keep thinking about the funky mount too. The EK experience has not been a good one for me so far.
It is getting time for me to escalate the situaction. We need a Service Manager.
Time to ask for the world, and see what he offers..... No phone number on the EK home page... odd
Searching for a way to get a conversation with EK now...
Post up the number if you know of a way to get a human on the phone.
