We sent an evaporator kit to SoddemFX (Tom) he may have it by now. He's going to put it on a 3/8 - 1/2 hp compressor and give it a go on a quad core. Neither Eric or I have a Quad, only a load tester and they don't really tell us exactly what we all want to know. Tom has a deep background in the principle behind phase change. We have redesigned the Cryostar to work on GPU. A Sli set will go out to Lardarse (Shamino) on Monday 6/22/07. From what I've heard, Shamino is a pretty good overclocker and should be able to give the Cryostar a run for it's money.

When we get reports back from SoddemFX and Lardarse, we will have real world facts. If results are good - we will be all set to go.

Sli evap will ship to Shamino tomorrow. Lardy and I have been friends for a long time now. When I asked him to test the Cryostar Sli, he was more than please to help us. There are few (if any) ;) who know more about phase change and overclocking than Shamino. We are honored to have our evaporators in his hands. :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

Sli evap Over All Height 1.300" (.070" shorter than stock 8800GTX cooler) This is same exact evap as the cpu Cryostar. The only difference is that it is Sli ready.

Believe it or not the oven with no oxygen and 1470F does most of it. (cooks all impurities away) Starts out clean but comes out super clean. Then just a buff with green rouge.

Oven baked/brazed - :up: No worries about oxidation, lapping, brazing and the best part is no worry about a braze job gone bad. :)

These ones feature 8800 mounting holes, not the 78/ATi's holes yet, as they were last minute converted to GPU evaps when I requested from Runny.
My old evap manged this on an Ultra, the temperature just drops to -35C once I start to bench.

How about some insulation to drop into the hole where suction/feed is. Otherwise htat will be hard to fill... Also, how about a bit of material above that area otherwise insulation and stuff will not seal well or heatshrink wont be able to hold onto any material.

What kind of insulation are you talking about? Armaflex? How about some small Armaflex tubing insulation that will fit inside that hole? :up: Is that what you had in your mind.

Thanks,:up: If someones wants straight out GPU that is done. That enclo was moded to fit the only evap I had here at the time (CPU) to go next day. Wasn't even going to offer that style but Ron wanted me to create one, same as the top of the cpu enclo.
I think all SLI and Crossfire setups (single GPU for that matter) will be an individual preference. Seems to me the end user would know best for there particular setup. They will have the choice. All input is appreciated as well as suggestions.

I mean will you be providing that, otherwise I'd have to basically jam some insulation in that hole, also heatshrink over sleeve braid on the flex line insulation has no way to actually connect to the mount and create an air tight seal.
