well that review is crap because it doesnt show overclocking potential.
i think everyone knew the performance of this part wouldnt be anything special because its essentially a preoverclocked 8800gtx
Price kills it...otherwise high end ocers will love the new rev a3 core.

Can we get just one 8800 ultra review thread? links were posted to many reviews including this review in this thread.

I like Bit-Tech's review but one thing they should have also performed a MAX QUALITY test with more than just 4xAA.
Who the heck buys 500+ USD cards to run at 4xAA and 16xAF only? It would be great to see 8xAA - 16xAA on single cards and show off performance of 20-32xAA in SLI (CF for ATi) or dual card mode.
Here is the Sparkle 8800U

I wonder how long it will be (if ever) before the A3 silicon silently starts appearing in GTX parts. Perhaps as new batches of cards are built, we will see the new silicon appear in these products as well. If A3 improves overall yields, it will cut costs or improve profits across the whole line.
Agreed, as we know though, this is merely just a marketing scheme by NVidia, and it will sell which will just tell nvidia that they can get away with it, which will in turn tell AMD/ATi that they can get away with it.
Atleast gpu prices haven't gotten as bad as top-end cpu prices though...
Another review for the list.

I think you meant low res, not "small". MOST monitors under 24" (maybe 23") still max out at 1600x1200 but at that res, you can still see jaggies with only 4xAA.
Crank it up to 8xAA + @ 1600x1200 would give you the bang that you paid for. If you don't know notice it, then maybe your monitor is too "small".
8800 Ultra sells $1050 in Japan:woot:

what's cheaper a 8800U or a R600 and PSU with a 8 pin PCIe?
nah u can alwasy get adapters ... a PSU with 4 x 6 pin PCI-E is enuff imo ... the 4 x native 6 pin can power 2 x 8 pin PCI-E, and u just need another 2 x 6pin PCI-E to power HD2900XTX Crossfire ...
in the end it all comes down to amperage rating over 12v rails
btw jackup (which is a also member here) has 2 of those:
but he posted on nvnews:
