Are you asking how to get more volts? You have to mod your 3.3v line because your vdim is your 3.3v line -.15v hence the 3.15v. 3.3-3.5v should be neough to pull 250 tight.
I was wondering how stable the voltage is though. Because my 3.3v line fluctuates slightly, so I was wondering if you saw any vdim fluctuating by grounding pin6 rather than using a vr to lower the max voltage below the low point of the fluctuation.
nope...my 3.3V line has always been very much stable. It drops to 3.28V occasionally but nothing more than that. Didnt notice much fluctuation on the vdimm.
*sigh*...next question...how do I mod the 3.3V line ? Like you said, 3.3~3.5V ought to do the trick. Also need to get my ass into gear and do the droop mod. Man I hate soldering small things.
look over in the xtreme mod section and you will probably find your psu. PSU vmods are nothing, you just have to cut the sense lines, probably takes under an hour to get it out, mod it, and get it back up and running at the voltage you like.

anyone tried benching with 3.7vdimm ere?
No, but I have seen plenty of people using using 3.7v+, and some have said 3.7v would be ok for 24/7 if you have good airflow.
pardon my ignorance, I'm a recovering abit user, planning on doing vdimm mod this weekend,
does the vtt scale automatically when raising vdimm? i.e. if set to 2.85 in bios is giving me 3.45, will vtt stay @ 1.72?
I think so, yes.
It must. I've got some sticks that sucked on my Max3 until I did the vtt fix and they have been great on this board with only vDimm modded.Quote:

I did the PSU mod found here to raise my +3.3v rail to 3.65V.

3.66v on the +3.3v rail. Was aiming for 3.65v but I made the mistake of using a 10kohm trimpot which did not allow me to finetune it enough, should have used a 1kohm trimpot.
Now the moment of truth....

just did my vdimm mod for my ASUS P4P800 ...with a 50k VR resistor
but the highest vdimm i can get is 3.17v ...my 3.3v line doesnt drop below 3.34v ...dis normal?
i've seen it at 3.2v before on my reader, but now wotever i do, it wont go higher den 3.17v
Finally did the vdimm mod for my P4P800D as well. I just used a grabber on pin 6 and then grounded it to a fan header.
The results.....got 3.2v as my 3.3v rail stays around 3.35v.

what does it give u by taking up the voltage ?
by raising ur 3.3v line u can give ur RAM more voltage ...since ur vdimm runs off ur 3.3v line ...and if u do a mod ...it will never go higher than what ur 3.3 volt line is. so if u want to give ur ram 3.4 volts ...u'll have to jack up ur 3.3 line /w a psu mod.Quote:
