have you tried a plain old "reset?"

i have a PS2 KB and an USB mouse...most times it post and boots fine...the only time it has trouble if i left my USB 2.0 drive on overnight and the drive has gone into a hibernation mode...usually it hangs on that event...my correction is to push the reset button; from there it post to boot.

well, after playing with evga680i mobo, i came back to my ws pro...still have the same usb issues, but this mobo is definately a better board than the evga.
both have quirks, but i would rather deall with the quirks of this mobo....waiting on the stryker extreme..

i don´t know the complete change log.
one is new microcodes.

it could not test the bios. my bios chip ist broken.
tomorrow i get a new one

I just flashed to the 0507 bios and the only difference i noticed was the option to disable one core in the bios (if that's new)

And no fix for the cold reboot still:mad:

Specifically, how is this improved stability manifesting for you? What was your max OC with 0408 compared to with 0506?

Have tried the 0005 bios and the 0408 bios. Had problems with 0408 booting so went back to 0005 which seems to be the best.

One problem though is trying to get my memory stable. Cant get them stable past 482mhz @ 4,4,4,12 with 2.2v in bios (2.3v in windows). If i up volts to 2.25 or 2.3 it makes no difference and ai booster reports weird values then so not sure if its working. If its not mem volts causing probs what is it:

Cpu is at 386 x 9 which is stable
Ratio 4:5 to memory (gskill 2gb 6400 hz kit)
All board volts are at mimimum

Memtest in dos immediately crashes if try and run 3,4,3,8 @ 390mhz at 2.2v which also seems weird. Maybe memory just wont do this but would have thought if it can do 482 at cas 4 it could manage cas 3 at 390mhz

386 FSB with all board volts set to minimum seems unlikely, at least not with any realistic stability.

thanks for the bios i will give it i try ...now if they would only fix the cold boot problem and my aibooster only goes to 450fsb . guess i'll have to start useing clockgen if i can't figure that out .

thanks for everyones bios setting i hit 3.8 dual 32m no problem and never put the vcore over 1.5v .

I now have 0507 bios if anyone wants it. Cant remember the link i got it from but it was from a german forum. PM me if you need it.

Havent had time to try it as have exams at moment and need computer working. We need a bios that allows loads of memory setting changes like released on the p5w64 board.

This wouldnt affect memory stability though would it? Also orthos 2hr stable on small fft at 386 so pretty sure board is stable but would have liked to have run orthos for longer than 2hrs
