Any Clockgen for this board?
I have been trying for the last day to get my E6600 to even post using the DFI Infinity board
I have an 830D that I have used to change settings (it works fine with this POS chip  ), I have tried all the ram settings from 400 upto 667, I have tried really loose timings with no luck, I have tried with just one stick of my G.Skill 6400 with no luck, tried upping Vcore, NDv etc etc and each time I do any change I then put the E6600 back in but each time its the same.....................nothing, no post, no bios, I have even changed/tried every bios with no luck
Can anyone help ???
I have now swapped over CPU's 16 times and I am now convinced this Conroe is dead
weird alpha shamino and others have issues with some dividers on this DFI board and not booting http://forums.vr-zone.com.sg/showpos...23&postcount=3 and http://forums.vr-zone.com.sg/showpos...06&postcount=7
but since you tried all the dividers hmmm
hopefully it ain't the cpu as that E6600 worked fine on my badaxe...
hiya i have the same board dfi infinity and it posted out of the box i currently have 07/07/06 beta bios off dfi site and it is working well currently at 391 fsb 3.52ghz at 1.57 volts and corsair pc 8500 at 5 4 4 15 4/5 ddr 977 , a ok working, when i first installed the board i went for ambitious overclocks and at times it would not even post but used the cmos jumper and was ok again i have a step 5 qpge 6600 es and it worked straight out of the box so i don't think its a board problem if you cleared the cmos
jesus dude your running 1.57v just for 3.52ghz wtf thats bad and wrong...

Is anyone having troubles with this mobo and the G Skill HZ 6400 ram?
I cannot boot past 320 fsb with this ram,Tried both ram slots and the beta bios and the latest bios from DFI's site.
However when I put 2 512mb crucial ballistix in i can boot straight at 9 x 400 fsb running prime stable at 3.6ghz. at 1.375v
Any ideas?
Just a compatibility problem with the HZ?
Thanks
I have asus P5W Dh and G skill like you ( HZ 6400 x 2 giga ) and can't boot over 390 .... maybe your theory is right .. :(Quote:

i'll try a lower vcore say 1.45, its watercooled so even with the 1.57 idled around 40 degrees
My DFI 975X/G is maxing out at 440FSB with 4:3 divider.
I did the VMCH mod and raised the voltage from 1.75V to 1.85V.
No gain in FSB overclockability in 4:3 mode :(
I´ll try the VFSB mod next.
hi what volts to vcore and was it stable over 400 fsb, i'mm stuck at 390ish but have been using using 4:5 with corsair 8500, aalso whats the ppm mean on the genie bios settings anybodyQuote:

thanks
Only Clockgen 1.0.4.7 beta supports ICS9LPRS509DGLF pll which DFI uses.Quote:

thganks a lot stilt for the clockgen , works 100% , i am now on 4:3 divider boots a ok at 400fsb , but just freezes if i say just go up a couple of notches in clockgen say above about 404fsb tried loose timings, tight timings low volts high volts, still the same chipset at 1.75 (which is watercooled) so i think till a bios update thats the limit of my particular board, prime stable, got the corsair at 3-3-2-1 now rock solid at ddr600, i'd love 420 fsb but i think its the bios holding us back, as 400 fsb seems to be the general max and thats with the 4:3
thanks again the stilt for the info
So is it a bios problem that you can't use 1:1 divider on that fsb? Seems like a great mobo but until they fix that I have think twice getting it.Quote:

I really hope that the issues are not here to stay.
DFI "tried" for over a year to fix 5:4 divider issue on LanParty 875P-T.
That was really a shame, since it was the best Socket 775 DDR1 board ever made.
Spank those Biosta... err... DFI engineers ;)
so 400fsb is even achieveble without preformance loss if im reading all these posts correct browsed threw all 12 pages seems like this board is having alot of problems from all the ppl that got this board this sucks
so is this the board to go for, or is it a 371fsb strap at 1:1 ?
I tried google with no luck and cant find Clockgen 1.0.4.7 beta anyware ??? any links please :)Quote:
