got my 3200 winnie CBBID 0504 DPGW to 2500mhz 1.55v prime95 stable :toast: ... But i kind of killed my Abit AV8, so i'll be getting a K8N Neo2 in due time
IHS removed and polished with sand paper . Then reinstalled back . Original thermal grease under the IHS replaced with Arctic Silver 5 .Results = +150MHz overclock so far . 2800MHz Benchmarks stable, some will bench at 2870MHz. 2735MHz MAx. on unmodded CPU before the modification was done. Will continue to polish IHS later .

MMMMM, Sanded IHS + Hyper 6 = :slobber:
:D Thats what happens when u dont have money for a Vapochill :rotf:
3200 cbbid 0507 at 2.75 fully benchable @ 1.65 volts........kinda crazy, it wasnt hard at all, benched on a cold night @ 2.8 but max screen:http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=8108. that was with 1.76 volts........wouldnt do anything @ 3ghz, could clockgen it but then it just rebooted as soon as i switched app, wasnt temps or mem, and im pretty sure my vcore was enough.........ill try again on the next cold one.
Clockgen has never worked for me. Whenever I've used it to change the speed in windows, the system just freezes. If I make the changes in bios, it's perfectly stable.
btw...does "burning in" a winnie help any at all? I juiced mine up to 1.64v and put it on the prime torture test. Max temp I've reached is 44c w/XP-90 and ceramique. How long should I burn it in for? I was planning on just running the prime torture on it for a few 12 hour periods (with short breaks to check email and junk)...should I go for a week?
Ppl can anyone tell me the max voltage for a 3200+ Winnie cooled by r404a Prommy? Like 1.8v 24/7 and 1.85v for benching, too much or I can give more? Opinions please =)
Need some help from people that have subzero working Winchesters.
Mine did 2600Mhzs stock cooled 1.65v, now r404a cooled it does 2800Mhzs @ 1.76v, but even @ 1.85v i cant get more than 2800Mhzs, anyone with the same problem? It's not HTT limited neither memory limited.
(sry for double post)
lets put it this way, i know a guy that ran -35c load phase-change and 1.9v 24/7 killed his chip in a few days...Quote:

very nice work Gorod! Id try that out myself it my mobo wasnt the limiting factor! Great pics to!
Here is a little update with some EVEREST scores. Pushed it to 301 with the same vcore. Any higher vcore and I think I'm running into heat problems. From my experiance most winchesters loose stability around 56 degrees. The reason I think it's heat is because the higher I got with my vcore the faster my PC would freeze during 3DMark05. Maybe a little while down the road I'll invest in a XP-90. I would do it now but I just got ripped off on ebay/paypal for one of my A64 3000+ chips. Anyways here are the EVEREST screen shots!
woah sick HTT and RAM speeds!!
wow 300mhz ram with those timings and 2.7v :slobber:Quote:

Now that my DFI is here it and my Neo2 will go into 24/7 duty in my everyday rig giving my Epox/1700+ a much deserved rest.

These two pic's show 2.4ghz@Default & 2.5 @ 1.5v. :D
didnt know why mine so bad. test it with many setting already still the highest is 2.4.
guess cbbid 0503EPJW really suck.
That seems where CBBID's mostly Sh** the bed. :(
Hi all....newbe in this forum:D
But i can write my o/c:
MSI NEO2 K8N Platinum bios 1.36mod
3000+@2700mhz 1.65v CBBHD 0449GPGW
GSKILL pc4400 (440)@ 2.5-3-3-7 6:5(166) 1T 2.75v
But something i cant understand why i cant get higher with my memorys.
When i start too o/c so it will start too be unstabel at 255HTT with memorys @ 1:1 1T
So too hit 300HTT with my cpu so have i to clock down my memorys too 6:5(166)
I have tryed with 2 difrents cpu and its stop at same place both times(255htt) and both cpu did hav difrents steppnings.
And when i try memtest i get over 6000 error @ 275x7-9 2.5-3-3-7 1:1 1T
//kTa(swedish)
:welcome: kta. Our rigs are very sim, My GSkill is 431 chips and i can run 1:1 up around 322htt but not @ 2.5-3-3-7 I run 2.5-4-3-7. Try going really loose then tighten them a little at a time. Good luck. :)
might getting some old proc production winnie in few days and i'll update u guys.
wanna throw my cbbid if this old proc i'm getting is better than my cbbid.
vlad:
I have tryed everything to fix it but did not fix it:(
I have been msg with a guy from gskill to and i have dine all what i can found in gsforum and in here and all o/c im in.
But i think what can be bad here now...when i get 310htt do i lose my sound and with bad sound...so it can be my mainboard who not let me mit high that 300x9 2.5-3-3-7 6:5 (166) 1T....but i can hit 300x9 2.5-3-3-7 1:1 at 2T.
why so low at 1T?
Need to get more power of my cpu and memory so i can get higher on ORB list on 3dmark01 and 03 im on 8 place on 3dmarks if i remeber right now:)
EDIT:
Forget to say that i hit 2.5-4-3-7 1:1 1T @ 300x9 in singel channel with both memorys(1 at the time in mainboard)
Here is my crappy chip :(
Its a:
AMD Athlon 64 ADA3200DIK4BI
CBBHD 0449GPHW
1169847L40077
although this is a old result (with my old Zalman CNPS 7000B-cu), at the moment i have a CoolerMaster Hyper48, + I replaced my chieftec 360 watt psu with a 550 watt lc power (wich is much more stable), and next week i will remove my heatspreader. So after all this i might oc much better.
This is the max my processor can run (Max voltages mobo can hadle with bios 1,3 - no voltmods ((Original.)
http://members.lycos.nl/hugnix/2900.JPG
Not a bad chip!
Pretty sweet clocks but a sick vcore voltage!
Congrats tho on 2.9GHz :toast:
Alec
 WOW! That is SICK voltage. How stable is it at that speed? I can boot at 2871mhz(Bench stable) then use clockgen to hit 2911mhz but its not even bench stable but thats with 1.7v (Max 1.4 Bios). Maybe with the heatspreader off youll hit 3ghz:slobber: Good luck with it.
got new proc already but still not satisfied with the stepping.
its a CBBID again damn. should find a better one later. anyone
got the same as my new proc 3000+ CBBID 0451MPM? still priming at 2.0
stock vdimm(corecell detect 1.36v).
Mine worked fine this way b4 I went back to H20. (Pretty much the same as now but 13c warmer. :D
If done right MUCH better clamping and NO CPU chipping.
I recommend this over an XP-120 (better clamping, safe for CPU, dropped my temps by 5c (yeah I was surprised @ teh drop also  ) had to flatten teh top on the CPU, use 2000 grit paper on flat glass w/ water.

Very nice. Ill have to try that.
really frustated with my CBBID 0451MPM the highest i could get is 278x9 @ 1.7volt.
anyone with same stepping could do higher here?
That seem to be around the max for CBBID's. :(Quote:

hi guys
well this the oc 100 % stable i reached , cause it seems that its the top of this winnie or maybe not??
cause i put it more voltage even up to 1.85 and can't stable it, the mems are stable cause i use prime 95 on memos and they can reach 245 at 3.2 v
are the limits of my winnie 2.5 ghz??? cause i thought i could have it 2.7 but anything above 2.5 with any voltage is not stable
my validation

any help would be great http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=15266
Hello all ..
Here is my little oc adventure result with CBBID 0508 FPMW steppings.

Watercooled with a Dtek WW, Eheim 1048 and Dtek Pro-120 Heatercore
Hopefully it will burn in so i can get 2.7Ghz
My CBBHD 0449MPM winnie 3000+ does close to 2800MHz.. But its Prime stable only till 2.55GHz..

Guys,
I need some advices on my overclocking.
I'm using my system at 246x10 = 2460 MHz, 166 divider, resulting in 205 MHz at 2-2-2-5. The system is fast with this speed, Primed, OCCT passed, etc..., and the vcore is 1.52v.
So I tried 240x10 = 2400 MHz, with the memory 1:1 in 240 MHz at 2.5-3-3-6 (I did 4 loops in Memtest, ok for that speed) but I've tried a lot of different vcores and the CPU is unstable. It can't run 2 minutes on Prime, locks on games, totally unstable. I tested vcores from 1.4-1.6v and nothing!
What might be happening? Why did the CPU can handle 246 but can't 240? My HTT is configured to 4x, and I don't know what else I can try. I'm using BIOS 1.8mod.
Does anyone have any idea?
Thanks a lot!
AleX
Very good chance it's your RAM. Memtest doesn't always mean that your computer will be stable at that speed. Back off on your RAM bit, and have you tried more volts to your RAM?
jjcom
i'v been wondering, does Winchester have cold bug or not? and if yes, how low-temps can i run it?
yes, the winchester does have the cold bug, but i dont know if all of them have.
i guess you may have problems... ;)

I also think that could be my RAM too, because I can't go like 220 MHz at 2.2.2.5, I don't know if this 3200XL likes much voltage or not, but I haven't test beyond 2.8v. Any tips? My maximum vram in the Neo2 its 2.85v...
Thanks!!
AleX
Some do some dont or should I say Most do. It sucks because I have two that clock real good on air (xp90), one of which will boot 2907mhz (NOT stable) but is bench stable @ 2885mhz. I've thought about hooking it up to my chiller and slowly bringing the temp down to find the limit but havent had the time.Quote:

My Oc results so far for the cpu stepping posted above are.
2.3ghz on stock vcore and stock heatsink and fan. :slobber:
Ill get a better heatsink and fan soon time. Also better ram.
I want to see what this cpu can do.
Should be a good one as far as winchesters go. :) GL :toast:Quote:

Not all temps are Accurat.
some Winchesters just wont do 2700mhz. you could try lowering voltage, as some Winchesters dont like voltage 1.6 and up.
I can get the winnie that I just bought from Mad Mikee up to 2.8ghz at 1.62v. I'm not sure of the stepping, because Mikee said he sent me an IHS from a different CPU. I haven't taken the time to try SPi 32m, but it's completely D2ol stable. Been running D2ol at this speed for 5 days straight.
This stepping is good? what the maximum that I can arrive with it?

ok, anyone with winnie able to run 2x1gb sticks beyond ddr520?
i tried my 3000+ winnie on both neo2 plat n ep-9nda3+, my rams cant go beyond ddr520..
this same ram on newer system i see [venice, opty, nf4 boards] able to do ddr560 easily..
so i wanna know whats my limiting factor here..
izzit my winnie, or the nforce3 boards :(

I have a 3200 winchester and was wondering something...
I can run it either way, but one is prime stable and the other is not im wondering why cause to me it looks to be the same.
240x10 =2400mhz, ram at 240..this does not prime more then about 10mins.
253x9.5 =2403, ram at 240.. this does prime *Ram is set to 1:1, but uses divider cause of .5 multi*
Now, am i crazy...why does my ram do 240 when its on a divider and not when its 1:1?
Explain to me why one works and the other doesnt. I mean the to me, the ram in both are running 240, and the cpu is 2400.
3500+ winchester
MSI K8N neo2 platinum
OCZ bh5 pc3200 sticks
Thermalright XP-90 w/92mm tornado (yes, its noisy. i don't run it at full blast)
OCZ 520W psu
thermaltake armor (black) case
running memory at 3.4v 2.5 2 2 8 @ 250 x 9.5 = 2375
cpu is at 1.49v
going to try for more here soon, this is just what i started playing with.
that is my same setup :cool:Quote:
