Oh yes you do ;) Sexy little sinks ain't they. As to voltmods, the card might not take to them like a regular card. As some will already know, looking into my card's bios resulted in "something they've never seen before". These are ref boards, and might use different chips...
Thanks guys :D
Or solder two cabels to the pins, and just put them together to boot. Just like Macguyver does when he starts the car witout the keys :DQuote:

sorry ..
I'm feeling rather xtreme now. I went out to the pooter store hoping to pick up a reconditioned 19" monitor, $140 CAD. They were fresh out, but I saw this behemoth for $199, I had to have it.
65lbs, 22 inches of love. I had it sitting on my lap as we drove home, every bump made it rock and compressed my lungs... and then I barely made it down my stairs. Arms.. still sore.

You'ld better make a shroud for that fan, because now you have a huge dead spot right on the core (which is located right under de motor of the fan, and thus without airflow).

That was a fun day!
I belive it was :) , how much did it helped with temps ?
Temp monitoring sucked with that mobo, so i dont remember. it helped me get higher stable OC though. i had to use that ghetto fan coz i dont have a nice cooler... hopefully that will change soon :toast:

Erm, its a little weird how a lot of peeps dont have a case for their PC.....essentially thats a cheat because in a case things always run hotter, yet ppl will claim their OC "stable" :slapass:
Sorry, in my book nothing is valid unless its in a case, and hence, a "normal" environment, by all means go nuts on cooling not a problem, but an open top setup with an OC ppl claim to be stable when in all reality inside a PC it probably won't be? Thats just unacceptable to me.
welcome to extremesystems then :D
i've got a bunch of systems and only one of them is in a closed case. that is
a case with all of its sidepanels attached. all others have either one panel
missing or are running without the toplid, as is the "case" (note the play on
words there) with my main 24/7 dothan rig that is sitting in a former desktop
case.
just for the record. right now it is aircooled - if i would change it back to
water, i would very very likely be able to run it in a closed case for ages.
but that won't happen, as i frequently change things on it - and so do a
lot of other people here.
also what is it that you consider stable? passing pi32m, running prime for
6hrs, 24hrs, a week? so much room for personal preferences and judgement
...
attached is a pic that is very close to my current system, actually it shows
its state of past june. the compressor came of that radeon 9800xt and now
in is a 6800gt plus another 2x 250gb maxtor drives on the drive"pile" in the
right part of the pic.
in the background is an old mach1 powered 2600xpm system and the right-
most system is an ancient xp1800 palo - my mail / tv rig.

That is crazy. What voltage do you have on your RAM, I'd like to clock my RAM up there too as I have a feeling 800MHz isn't really stressing it.
I better keep my core at 700 tho, load's in the low 70's in my Lanboy with the side panel on. I might have to take my side panel off when summer approaches, though.
