So when is the Retail launch? I've been looking around and only see OEM's for sale. I really getting annoyed with this crap. 1st it was the 7/27, then 8/7 now 8/16, whats next 9/1?
Last Question is will i be able to buy a Retail E6300 at $200 on Launch Date?
$219 not $200 thou with free shippingQuote:

I would call and ask, they open soon. The e6600 and e6700's retails seem to be very hard to find atm.Quote:

Did they call you on Friday? I got a call about my 6700 order on Friday and they said that both the 6600 and 6700 didn't come in, which doesn't fit with their "in stock but can't ship b/c of intel" story. Here's what I posted a few pages back:Quote:

Good think i ordered an OEM 6700 from ClubIT. Ship baby ship.
I talked to Clubit Fri. They said IF the 6600's com in (they were enroute) they would ship them on the 7th. Why did they say they wer in stock if they weren't??Quote:

I'll give them until end of day to provide a tracking number.
That's right. The chips were listed as "In Stock", and they said that the chips were in their posession, but that they would not ship until August 7.Quote:

newegg has ETA: 2006-08-08 14:45:00 listed for its Yonah processors - maybe that is when they will be getting a huge shipment from intel?
I'll give Clubit the benefit of the doubt at least until they open, and see what they say. I wonder how many people they'll pi$$ off if they don't deliver.Quote:

You want to hear about a scam how about Monarch charging people immediately for processors supposed to ship by the 14th, saying they'll email you if the date changes, and then without emailing you they push it back to August 31st, all while keeping your money.

Jason: Hello I was wondering when you will be stocking the Intel Core 2 Duo processors? I heard rumors of today and wanted to confirm them...
Darlene: The item should be in stock.
Jason: Can you link me to the E6600 Intel Core 2 Duo Processor?
Darlene: I would need the item number to be able to look it up.
Jason: I have no idea what the item number is I don't see any of the Intel Core 2 Duo processors listed on your site. Can you link me to any of the Intel Core 2 Duo processors?
Darlene: Unfortunately I don't have any sales services so I cannot provide you with the information.
Jason: Do you even know what I'm talking about? Do you know what the Intel Core 2 Duo processors are?
Darlene: Yes I do know what they are, but unfortunately I cannot provide you with any sales service, at the moment Newegg does not offer any sales support.
Jason: Umm I'm not asking for sales support...they are not listed on your site and you said they were.
Darlene: We were expecting the arrival of the item as of today.
Darlene: So, our website might not be updated with the item just yet.
Jason: Can you give me an estimated time?
Darlene: I apologize, but I don't have an estimated time frame.
I'd say they'll be close to mwaves pricing on them mwave has em for 425:( , so at that rate 380 looks :DQuote:

well in defense of clubit, i placed an order with them on july 27th for a retail E6600 after i called to make sure they had the item in the warehouse. i called today and they confirmed my order will ship today. I should have my c2d tomorrow! :)
ps - cost me $339 + $35 fo overnight shipping. total: $374
You guys are thinking of getting oem for ~$400? I think the 3 years warranty is worth it more for that price.
Did you do this today and they have OEMs in stock?
EDIT: Nvm, I'm an idiot.
You pretty much screw your warranty after you OC.Quote:

With an OEM chip I think that the warranty after 90 days is handled by the company that sells you the chip. I don't have any first had experience, but I bet that it's probably pretty hit and miss depending on the company. They probably have some weird policies and such. I know with Tiger Direct, if you don't buy a HSF directly through them ON THE SAME ORDER then you don't get the warranty.Quote:

Today, ClubIT told me that they actually did not have any e6700s in stock when I ordered it. They did receive a shipment of e6700s from Intel, but they were all OEMs (and though I couldn't pin him down on it, it appears that they received the shipment from Intel after I placed my order). He claims that they never opened the box from Intel so they never realized they didn't have any retail versions. He tried to make it sound like they never actually lied about having it in stock since they never really knew whether they had it in stock. He says that they only recently realized they have no retail e6700s.
Here's what I was offered: the would send me the OEM version, but at the same price as what I ordered my retail version for. It would have no warranty (that's what they told me) and they would throw in a free t-shirt. He absolutely refused to lower the OEM price to below what I ordered the retail version, even though he admits I was misled and even though he acknowledges that the OEM does not have the fan/heatsink and has no warranty.
That's plain BS.
btw, I didn't ask about other processors like the e6600. this was only about the e6700.
At microcenter they have OEMs in stock for 380 and the warranty is only 30 days? The people sounded retarded. Im just going to wait.
free t-shirt!? How about a 20% off on your next purchase would be better.
That really sucks!
As someone mentioned earlier, you should leave feedback if they don't ship it today.
http://www.resellerratings.com/seller10608.html
That is hilarious. I can't believe that they offered him a T-SHIRT! :eek:Quote:

MeWantConroe: Hi I was wondering when you will be selling the Intel Core 2 Duo Processors...I heard a rumor that it was today.
Janet : The ETA is today, but we have not received the shipment yet. I apologize for that.
MeWantConroe: Orly...That sucks I guess it's still early in Califronia correct? Is that were they are being shipped to?
Janet : Yes, the items will be shipped to California.
MeWantConroe: Oh ok that's good so it is still early. so we may see these on the site today possible later in the afternoon?
Janet : Yes, we might receive them by the end of the day. But there is no guarantee, since we are not aware of the exact time that we will receive them.
MeWantConroe: Alright well they should then for sure be here by tomorrow then...
Janet : The only information we have is that the ETA is today. But then again, we cannot guarantee. The only information we have is that, and what you see online. Which at this moment we do not have a guarantee for the ETA, nor other information.
ClubIT's website shows a "Manufacturer Warranty 1 year" on the OEM CPU.

Haha. The fact that you made your chat name 'MeWantConroe' and the fact that you used 'Orly' in the conversation made me chuckle.Quote:

lol...hows this for retarded, I called them asking about X6800's last week, saying that the website listed them at $999 (which it did). Rep said he wasn't around that day and would check with someone else to see what the story was. He then told me that $999 is how much they paid for it, and proceeded to beg me to take it for $1299. :p:Quote:

anyway 380 for an OEM is just not in my price range, and they have no P5w's in store either... and they want 290 for those.
I just got off the phone with Fernando at Club IT regarding the retail E6600 order I placed on 7/27.
He said they should get it out today. (no mention of any OEM vs. Retail mix up on this SKU).
However I won't believe it until it's on the truck. I still have a hunch that they were never fully in stock but were enroute to them.
I hope when I finally click go on the newegg site the e6600 doesn't pop up extremely overpriced, but I guess I don't mind paying a little more for a retail chip. Come on newegg, don't let me down! or should I say us... :D

actualy with only a $10 difference between a 6300 and 6400, the 6600 could be $420 or $430 (still to high but who knows), or it could be $600...
