So if I get it right.
If I use 1.6v,I must use 110 for GTL 1/3 and 109 for GTL 0/2?
If you read above I already tried this bios and it was bugged. Options printed overlap either other making it difficult to read, you also can't change options because of this. After setting my settings like I did in previous bioses I was greeted with a constant power up and shutdown over and over with an 8.8. on the LCD. Going back to 12/24 solved everything.
24/12 is as stable as 11/07 ?
Yes, i remembered now, that bios screenshot with bugged text in options was yours..
O bugger, well than i'll put 24/7 and put an end on it..
Tnx either way...
yes 12/24 is fantastic. No issues from me whatsoever. I could use exact settings from previous bios and not know the difference in stability. I am currently over 13h priming on this bios now. C-N has also tested the bios and finds it to be a great 24/7 bios.
hi
just going a little nuts with this mobo just trying to get it to 4x3600 mhz.
the C1 code is driveing me nuts.
the bios is 12/24/2007 bearlake-6a790d49c-00
6600 quad
4 gigs of ocz reaper
antec 1000 watt ps
2x3870s
cheers
b1 code guys, what does it mean?
nevermind. Just needed a bios update. Q6600 works fine. Will post my E8200 overclocks soon.
anybody tried putting some Thermalright HR09 on the mosfets? which type fits this board? according to Thermalright's site, it's the type 3, but i reckon someone posted before that the type 2 would fit better...so which one is it? Thanks :)
The type 2 fits the board (short side).
Thanks Praz!
Your welcome. The heatsink will mount, fit and work as is. But for a perfect fit the length needs to be trimmed a bit.
Hey guys, I'm trying to make final decision on a mb upgrade and the LT P35-TR2 is on my short list (along with Abit Pro and GA-DS4 P35 boards). I have been wading through this thread for the past few days (up to page 80, so far) and my primary concern at this point is the various C1 issues and the current state of the BIOS...
Assuming a Q6600 G0 and 2GB of OCZ SLI-Ready PC2-8500 (or 4GB of G.Skill PC2-8000 PQs... I haven't bought memory yet either), with a 'modest' OC of 3.2GHz - 3.4Gz (or so)...
Once I get the above stable, am I going to have to clear/reset my BIOS anytime I power down the machine? I'm just looking for a stable, modest, quad-core overclock for 24/7 use (programming, 3d-modelling and rendering, some gaming, etc), with the potential to swap out to a 45nm quad later in the year once the prices come down (ie. one more cpu swap before switching to Nahelem platform in 2009 sometime).
I've looked at the DFI P35 Dark as well (I don't plan to cross-fire), but I think I'd be more comfortable with the 6-layer board design and additional features of the LT TR2. I just don't want to have to keep resetting my BIOS every few days, if that's still S.O.P. with these boards.
Can anyone advise? Thanks.
im just stumped. im not sure if there are different rev boards but mine just wont play well with qx9650. tried all BIOS and have tried settings used successfully by others but no matter what I do it just wont be stable at any decent o/c and this CPU is capable of 3d06 4.7GHz.
I cant even get comp to boot at 4GHz. tried low FSB and higher multi and still no good. also noticed that 11 multi is highest, anything above doesnt boot.
time to get a new board for me.
DFI needs to do something with the new CPU Bios support I just had to rescue Jimmyz with a Bios Chip for LT X38 Like Luke Skywalker with Leia in Star Wars:p:
latest official bios works fine with wolfdales.

Hi mate, just a quick question about this, if the SPD is 1.8v then they will run at the timings at each speed with that? I know that's what SPD is, but can't get my head around why some would only need 1.8 and some 2.2, as that's a large difference.
Edit: Straight in at 3.6 at seems to be priming away happily, 266/667, 1.43 vCPU, 1.5vMCH, 1.43VTT 100,100,100. Think I'll work around this for now, with case fans set to low the NB gets up to 57 and I'm randomly losing control over my mouse which I think may be linked. Although it does come back and then goes when prime starts a higher iteration. See if I can work voltages down, once I've got the NB in my loop ill push on up.
Thanks for the excellent thread guys, Praz, C-N, Brotha and the rest, give yourselves a tap on the back :)

...I finally finished reading the additional 40 pages of this thread :). But my question still stands - I don't mind some amount of headache to reach a modest OC for 24/7 operation, but once I reach that point, I don't want to have to worry about powering down my system for fear of it not booting back up due to extraneous C1 errors. Is this (still) a relatively common occurance?
Thanks.
