right now, ati looks to be a better choice, i have already sold my gtx 280!! hehe for a good amount of money, before they were released, i will either pick up 4850 crossfire on p5q3, or 4870 crossfire.

We still dont know about stutering with HD4000 CF , you already should know that FPS numbers means nothing with multi GPU !

i dont understand German , i already asked in the german forum if there is any stutering , but ... :shrug:

anyway tomorow i will receive 2x hd4850 from Powercolor to review and thursday a EVGA GTX280 HC

i will test myself and then i report !

2x 4850 = GTX 280 KILLER and only costs 175€ each...

I couldn't care less about either of the companies with any emotional attachment

but to see such an improvement for ATI is great for consumers over the next 2 gens,
Although nvidia may take the performance crown, the profitability on the 4 series looks like the winning product

not to mention the moot points over nvidia like lower consumption and DX10.1

ATI fanboys must be rejoicing in disbelief :)

Thanks in advance, I have only one more request. Up to this date we have only seen tests with E8*** on 4ghz, could you try 3.2 or 3.5, something like that, to see if the cards are bottlenecked by the cpu :).

SWEET! What CPU and motherboard will you use? I hope an X38 or X48 board, so that CF gets dual PCIe 2.0 x16 lanes. P35 only provides a single x16 lane and a single x4 lane, both 1.0. P45 provides dual x8 lanes, both 2.0. So x38 and X48 would be the best choice.

Will you be benching with a yorkfield? If so, please keep it at a reasonable speed, such as 3.6GHz. :yepp:
