BIOS for Z77. INF
Z77 boards keep getting BIOS updates - Visual BIOS goes v1.2.3.
Bad move Intel sacking Paul Otellini, good CEO I'd say.
Anyway, don't see a bright future for Intel.
As soon as ARM gets it's v8 64 act together, well...
Intel is too tied to legacy, keep saying this.
A lot of Haswell tal already, boards already specd
RST v11.7 released.
Z77 BIOS updates.
Merry Xmas!
Hey Stasio
Yes, some time back already, been away.
Dear Manel:
I have my machine working fine with W8 & Off.2013.
How about your experience with your Machine?
Thanks, Friend manel.:up::up::up:
Hi Paty
I'm not into W8, don't like it on the desktop.
Sad times for us all. Like I predicted, Intel officially quit the desktop board line, no more Extreme Series boards for us! :-(
I'm going ARM next time I guess
Dear friend Manel:
I have my Samsung Galaxy S III 4G LTE with 64 GB Sandisk Memory Stick but my Desktop is awesome in comparison.
Why to give up from Intel Extreme Motherboards?
I think Intel will be doing asap new xtreme boards because the world market will demand those in the near future.
Yours friend Manel.:up::up::up:
Hi Paty, long time no see.
I have a Samsung Note II and it's cool, awesome really. Also bought recently a UE55ES8000 Samsung 3D LED TV with dual core ARM proc - wow! My new toy.
I didn't give up on them, Intel discontinued the motherboard business for good. I'd buy Intel any time but they quit, too bad. Not buying any other brand soon.
No IB-E yet and Intel is already working on Haswell-E, support for DDR4 t seems.
4ch DDR4 IMC, 12 to 16 cores, 130W, late 2014
Wellsburg X99 PCH for Haswell-E. LV DIMMs 1.2V DDR4.
PCI finally gone.
40 lanes PCIe 3, 8 and 6 core, LGA 2011-3 not compatible with regular socket 2011 (usual).
Dear friend:
Intel has solve the "situation" with USB 3.0 connectors.
They are working without pressure right now, and very good.
Any news friend manel from Intel to MB for Desktop?
Thanks :clap::clap::clap:
Intel quit the enthusiast mobo segment, no more extreme series I guess. :-(
What now?
X99 was gonna be my next rig, don't know now. Visual BIOS was looking good.
Intel HEDT platform based on Haswell-E will be Lituya Bay.
X99 is Wellsurg-X.
hey i was wondering if anyone knew of any audio drivers for the DX48BT2 mobo that work on win 7 x64?
Hi skabeat
Nothing official afaik.
I heard Realtek drivers work, not sure though.
Welcome.
Dear Friend:
Very Sad discontinuation of support for x79SR MB's-
I hope Intel could give us good news on new chipsets better than any other brand as Natural.

Hi guys.. I don't know if this is the right thread etc.. It's pretty much my post post ever!
Ok so try give quick run down and pray please please can help sort this or point in the right direction.
I have the DX48BT2 mobo and running as a HTPC and recently bought 3x3TB WD Green HDD's and installed them into the computer in hope to use the onboard Intel Matrix Storage Manager option ROM to make a RAID-5 Array!
Problem is my drives are been shown in the POST Intel (cntrl-I) utility as 746GB and cannot create the proper array??
From what I read around (which was ALOT) it seems that I may need a version of the Intel Storage option ROM higher then what my BIOS has installed.. Which I believe is the latest version on the Intel website. My BIOS version as shown in my BIOS page is version:
BTX3810J.86A.1521.2008.0138.1426
The Intel Storge Manager Option ROM version it has installed is version:
v7.6.0.1011 ICH9R wRAID5
I have installed the latest Intel RST v12.something onto windows, and it shows all the drives in their full 3TB state but there is no option to create an array (which I believe their should be a CREATE button, which is not present) only Manage etc..
I have the drives initialised as GPT partitions in Windows 7 Ultimate and am at my wits end. I could really use some help.
I was wondering if
a) if updating the "option ROM" to a versio. Later them 10.5 (which I read is the version that helps detect volumes bigger then 2.2TB correctly) would fix this, or if this would not change anything.
b) if it is even possible to update the "option ROM" only
c) is there a modded BIOS for my mobo with this updated "option ROM"
d) if its something I haven't even thought about?
Other details: my primary bout drive is a SSD with Widows 7 Ultimate x64
Hey Hock, welcome.
Sorry for the late reply.
First you need to update BIOS to the latest 2006, a lot has been fixed since 1521.
There are tools for u to modify BIOS but at your own risk.
Try 1st BIOS update, if still no luck clear it with Intel support. If they don't help (normal case) try nd edit BIOS.
Post ur results.
Sorry for short reply, my kbd is gone, using on-screen. Yaicks!
