Nice Stacker there Nightprowler_77! Ill post mine later ;) Im currently working on Ocing my X6800 and im sure ill be able to hit 3.8Ghz too :D Just to satisfy my curiosity... how much vcore does your X6800 needs to reach 3.8Ghz ?

Go to http://www.mcmaster.com/ and search through their listings, I know they carry them. I bought some 1.5" but they turned out to be too long, so get 1.25". The radiator came with self tapping sheet metal screws, but that wasn't going to work for me, so using a tap I cut 6-32 threads in the radiator mounting holes. The rubber washers were bought from performance pc's, but I think you could get them from McMasters for a lot less.

Apology for all these questions, I'm new to this stuff. I found some of the socket allen screws that are 6-32(don't know what that means) now what am I suppose to buy? Couldn't get a link so here are the specs:

It takes 1.55v to be orthos stable at that speed. But it`s an stepping 5 B1, so I dont now whats normal for to days retail stepping.

Ok, so you'll need 4 of those for each fan. 6-32 is the size and thread pitch. You'll need a 6-32 tap and a tap handle to cut threads in the radiator. If you want to use a Radgrill you'll also need 4 8-32 bolts around 1/4"-1/2" long and some 8-32 nuts to secure the grill to the case.

Be very careful tapping the radiator, if the tap hits the fins or cooling passages you may end up with a leak. Take it slow and watch the tap closely.

Can anyone help me find those rubber decoupling mounts that you use to mount a 3.5" in a 5.25" bay? I need them to mount my 120.3, but unfortunately, I can't find them ANYWHERE. I've tried mcmaster, but they're probably listed under a different name. These are what I need. Just need the rubber threaded mounts and not that whole bizarre X-Swing. :p:

I'm getting 51* idle in 28* ambient, am I doing something wrong???

I've done cable management but haven't got a pic yet. I grab one this arvo

perfection, what block are you using on the CPU, and what rads are you using? Also check for any kinks. Maybe your CPU block just needs remounted.

Basiclly I'll be buying 8 8-32 1/4"-1/2" bolts for 2 fans and 4 8-32 nuts to secure the grill to the case? (using swiftech mcr220)

No, you'll need eight 6-32 bolts 1.25" long for the fans, and 4 four 8-32 .5-.75" long bolts and four 8-32 nuts to secure the grill to the case.

8-32 wont fit into the rad, and probably wont fit through a fan either.

bottom line is YES.

I would suggest the cpu block is mounted very loose or uneven. Have you used the chip with air cooling? If so what temps are you getting?

What temp monitor are you using? If its speedfan you might as well use your clock to tell you the temperature, get intel TAT.

If you are using intel TAT you have big problems, stock cooling doesn't idle anywhere near 50c.

I idle at about 32ish in a fairly warm house, I would suggest I have something like 25 ambient thats with the cpu in its own loop but only on a 120.1 with a 2 fans on push/pull at 5v each.

Aside from that, there is a kink under the gpu outlet. Also, keep in mind, if you are pulling air from inside the case, your limiting the efficiency of the rad. It sounds like a very hot environment.

Thanks! It is the TDX and the orientation makes no difference in temps, I've had it mounted both ways and saw zero difference.

no kinks.

loop details are in the order:

Laing DDC with Petra's top > BIX2 > Storm G4 > BIX > EK 8800GTX > Swiftech MCRES Reservoir > Laing DDC again

And you might want to re read that post carefully.

He asking if the outside port can be used in the top or bottom position, not whether or not the center port is used for the inlet, and DD Jerm (one of the owners at DD) replys and I quote

I'm really surprised you didn't see a difference on temps under load. Blocks not designed to work any other way. Pretty much like the FuZion is desigend to work with the center port as inlet, although different in function as the FuZion isn't a Impengment type block.

Oh, now I see what you're saying! No I have the loop setup as such:

Pump > Rad > TDX > Chipset > T-line > Pump

Sorry, I misunderstood your other post. I thought you meant it couldn't be mounted sideways like I have it. It is using the center port for the inlet.
