You need to set affinity, right click on each Prime95 session in Windows Task Manager.Quote:

No i do it on a other way: i copie the install dir from prime 95,make from that .exe also a shortcut on desktop so you will have 2.Quote:

:worship: Clint's CPU
Hmm, doesn't matter what I do...I get only 50%Quote:

Yep I'm wrong, I just tested it.... Although the task manager graph show each core at 100%, processes shows them both at 50%...Quote:

So I think the problem is solved. Thanks to everyone for the advice on this. Today I replaced the OCZ modstream with a BFG Tech SLI certified PSU.
no more random shutdowns and I have been dual priming for about 3 hours, plan to let it go another 4-5 hours to be absolutley certain of 100% stability at 2400mhz. Then time to try cranking it up again
hope newegg will give me my money back for a defective PSU
If you lookat the picture I quoted you will see a 165 with a 11 x http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=75263Quote:

Since I took off the IHS I had to put the sticks in the yellow slots and are having problems with certain dividers.
It could also be the missing "thingie"...:p:
There will be a full monty screenie when I've sorted that out.
First time under phase, had that multi available. Never had that multi under water... either the board, or the cold did it I'd say. Either that or testing lots of different RAM prior to putting phase on.Quote:

2800Mhz air cooled dual prime stable for two hours
what do you guys think of my temps, are these okay? Do you think the chip will do 3000?
http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/6...post3xp.th.jpg
At idle temps are only 29C for this frequency
NO, its a terrible chip, swap it for my 170 :D
doublepost..
Hehe, don't give it away bro...we wanna see you rip that hat off:D
Spank it some, that maybe will do it...:slapass:
...it's just materia folks, just materia..(and a few bucks..hehe)
Whattaya all reckon, should I try mounting the XP-120?
Kinda dodgy, right?
I just can't have the BT in a vertical position, to much stress on the chip.
Water gonna take a while and I must get back to work/studies...so things must be cleaned..can't have cables and mobos and whatnot all over the desk
Has anyone mounted the XP-120 on a naked dualcore?
When are you gonna put your 170 under better cooling, Clint? Are you getting water?
Yup, still looking for a good solution...Absolute_0 gave me a few pointers...seems hard to get hold of that G4 storm though...Quote:

They have Storm Revision2's now, expensive tho, but they are in stock. Jab-tech has them, idk if they ship internationally.
