Q807A2xx for the E8400 seems to be the best around.

Here are some results from the other week 5.6Ghz:

We used a Gigabyte P35T-DQ6 and the ram was Corsair Dominator 1800C7. Was held back by the mobo, this won't be a problem when the Commando arrives later this week. :up:

if possible, can someone list out all the batch number and dates they were packed and how well each batch can OC? there are just too many posts on this topic for me to sit here and chart a table from this

Sure, I can give you the batch number with the O/C after my Commando arrives.

I'm glad someone cleared that up because i was seeing so many diff temps with programs that i didnt know which to believe.

That should have been taken care of by the threadstarter normally... but so many peeps post results but sadly no batch nr's

thats because i havnt been following this thread. some people already know which batch is good and which isn't. i'll have to write them all down because i dont know any of the batch numbers. i'll probably do that later after midterms :]

True, I think everyone who's been in this thread for a while has seen a bunch of good and bad. But I doubt anyone has an accurate running list of all of them. If they do I'd love to see it.

Also, the definition of good will vary - some want a stable 4ghz OC, some want sky high FSB. If you had a short and sweet set of criteria I bet people would chime in.

For example, I'd like to see like a running top ten best batch list with the following -

batch/fpo | req. Vcore for 8.5x500 | 1 - 2 hours prime & occt stable | temps | Max FSB

True there can be range within the same batch. There was another thread recently where someone compared 30 from the same batch - Q808A314 and there were a few bums and gems. But there may be some consistencies like so many out of thirty did xxx.

i have personally compared some within the Q746A batch. some are good most are dud.

4.035 @1.30 idle, 1.28 load prime and occt stable for 1 hour.

Seems to be a nice chip.

I just received a Q807A E8500 from the egg today. I tested it on a friends 650i board with crappy HSF and did 4200 easy. I only had about 30min to play. Cant wait to get the rest of my parts and see what she can really do.

yes cos most of 45 nanos can do +4ghz

it is interresting to see how stable is your chip with low vcore .

x2 Completely agree with is dictates... i would ike to see as well lowest vcore with higher frequency table (at least 1hour prime/orthos stable) like a ranking or something...

Yep,

I've seen some results from E8500 with Q807Axxx batch, and they seemed to clock very nicely (4ghz with lower 1.2xx volts)

just ordered a e8500 and was told it will be a q807a i guess ill have to wait till i get it to see for sure. but do we think these seem to be good batches or should i ask for something else?? they had i think three different ones in stock.. i dont honestly remember what the other 2 batches were.

so far how do you like it compared to your q6600?? i may still pick up a q6600 not sure yet
