to bad if it had done well with ln2 it would set records. If you haven't already :O Haven't seen anyone else as high as this bclk, is it wr ?

not realy , a lot of higher one's, seen a 270+ already somewhere at xs.
Is the passive NB solution on the board good enough on BCLK of 200 or do you NEED to get active cooling for this board?
If i put 1.45v into my 920 i see IOH and in particular SB rise over 60c with a Swiftech block on it.
I havent got around to pulling the stock cooling off to fit my EK block yet, i am still debating getting the new Enzotech mosfet block.
Both board the same issue, so problabe the cpu
1.45 ioh you maybe need above 230 bclock, 200 you can reach at stock volts.
Keep the volts low and temp wil drop, you will see the stabillity coming back if you stay below 50 degr
If its a single piece block then the heat from the NB is being transfered onto the SB
I want to get this board but I keep wondering about the fact its not B3 and how much that actually matters
Some have already posted in here they have the B3 version of this board. But i cannot remember what page it was on though. Perhaps they will come back in and help you out.
As far as looking at the box i really don't know how to tell, only way i know is using everest.
Thanks for the info, i had been having crossfire issues and had also been increasing SBv in an efford to fix it but i think it may have been a win7/catalyst issue now. I think ill clear all my settings and start again when i get the new block on.
Yes i got an SB temp warning at one point, i had stripped and cleaned the stock heatpipe initially and reseated it with OCZ Freeze and Sekisui tape but it made little difference. That when i moved to cooling it all with water but i still need to deal with the Mosfets - i have some TR HR-09s for that but i think i will get the Enzotech block instead.
Just need to find it in stock somewheres 1st.
just got my new 920 D0.
can run it 3d stable ~1.43-1.44v @4.4GHz 21x210. on my REII.(just vcore raised .all othe settings @stock)
the problem is ,doesnt matter how much vcore or qpi i add ,cant pass 21x211 in 3dmark. what else could give my a stability boost besides vcore /qpi?
You could try upping the cpu pll voltage. And if you are talking about vantage it does it to about everyone i know that runs it.
Are you guys able to set a north bridge frequency greater than 4,000mhz?
offcourse , but depents on the memoryspeed, uncore is possible at double memoryspeed + 1 uncore multiplier
so 1000 memoryspeed = 4200 nb
OMG I'm freaking out here. I changed my CPU to D0, cleaned my case with all the component then turned the PC on....and BAM 2 GB of my RAM disappeared!!
I tried to rain dance with switching memory sticks here and there and no luck, the mid. DIMM sockets are not reading any memory, I tried other sticks in that sockets but no luck!!!
Please HELP !!! :shocked::shocked::shocked:
I reseted the BIOS, applied default settings and still no luck!
for some reason CPU-Z say 6GB, BIOS and windows say 4 !!!!!!!:confused::confused:
I solved the issue, one of the pins in the socket was a little bent.
Thank GOD !!!
Suguestions are welcome
I know im very high on temps, also my qpi is on 1.61250.. it is the lowest i can go @ this speed..

why you running 200 fsb on a Extreme cpu ?? , get multi 25-27-29-31 m8
the fsb on a core i7 is a reference speed and not helping in performance of any way, you only giving the board a hard time.
First, hi all.
I am a proud owner of Rampage II Extreme Motherboard for 6 months now and there has been no problem until yesterday.
The computer was working fine until it froze and stayed like that, after a reset the computer wouldn't post and LCD poster said "LOCKED" right away.
I tried clearing BIOS, tried 3 graphic cards, tried two CPU-s (both i7 920), two power supplys, changing the RAM slots and booting with only one RAM stick, taken the BIOS battery out for 20 minutes. Everything I could think off I tried but the moment i started the computer LCD poster would say LOCKED every time. The fans spin, HDD works but no post.
I also noticed green RAM LED and CPU LED would no longer turn ON (green LED's that show the CPU and RAM voltage. When starting the computer only BIOS LED would turn on.
I consider myself a power user and everything is connected properly
System specs are:
Asus Rampage II Extreme
Intel i7 920
ThermalRight Ultra 120 Extreme Black CPU cooler
2x2 GB G.Skill DDR3
nVidia GTX275
Corsair HX620 PSU
The system was slightly overclocked to 4 GHz with moderate voltages (was stable for a long time before that), no extreme overclocking was performed
My guess is that the MBO is dead, but i cant be sure.
I've taken apart the whole system 4 times and put it back together but still the same, no post, LCD poster says LOCKED, and CPU and RAM LED's are not turned on
The MBO is under a warranty in a IT store in Croatia but before taking it there let's see if the problem can be solved here.
Thanks
