ageia PhysX processor arrived today... is it overclockable?

:slap: for me - you're right. I'd been swapping gfx drivers and forgot to reset to 75Hz. So now it runs at 75 fps and I imagine that if I take the PhysX card out, it will also run at 75 fps.

I suppose that had CellFactor been unable to run without the PhysX card installed, I would have been impressed. Well, it does and I'm not.

Neither can I fathom what sort of tests these cards were given at the pre-production stage or even the pre-sales stage. Is anyone else getting this to work with SLI (as recommended by one of the Ageia people) because plainly it's either not utilising mine or the bottleneck is elsewhere? Or is this just a CellFactor problem?

Anyway, it has a nice blue LED, so mustn't grumble eh.

That's it. Put it in the icon's command string, start program card or no card, you're using software. You might need the Ageia drivers to run the CF demo, in fact I'm sure you do. Don't need a card though.

Installing CellFactor can give you 2 icons on the desktop, one for high-perf gfx, the other for low-perf. Choose one, right click on it and select properties. In the shortcut tab, go to the target entry and add the EnablePhysX=false string, like:

"C:\Program Files\Artificial\CellFactor\SystemGame\CellFactor. exe" EnablePhysX=false FullScreen=true FullScreenWidth=1280 FullScreenHeight=1024 HDREnabled=true DropShadows=true MaxLowRezDropShadows=20 MaxHighRezDropShadows=4 StaticShadow=true

anyone got this working on a shader 2 card? I have massive artifacts as soon as I enter the game with an x800XL agp.

Apparently there should be performance enhancements, hopefully software mode can still be enabled so someone can bench it with and without a PPU. :)

Sorry, according to Ageia's page SM 3.0 is required.

anyone ever got the card to anything in PCMark05???
