How many so far? Maybe Saaya or the other mods can edit the first post to keep a tally of what's going on and what has been fixed. I see no mention of this on DFI-Street maybe I didn't look hard enough, but still there should be a sticky or something?
I doubt you'll see much about this at DFI street, they were deleting threads quicker than folks could post them the last time they had an issue with their gear killing ram.
I could be wrong, but I remember that pretty well.

I just kept futzing with it, and after awhile ( a LONG while, and MANY cmos clears, ram slot changes, ram changes, cpu changes etc...)
It booted again, but it STILL gets stuck at 3 leds when cold booting 99% of the time, when it does I hit insert a billion times ( sometimes I have to hit reset 3-4 times), and it usually boots.. then I get to windows and restart and it's fine.
Right now my vcard is in the primary slot, but it wouldn't boot for 3 days in that position ( I reseated it 10x), until I moved it to the 2nd slot...
Now it runs in the 1st slot again ( albeit with a billions hits of the trusty insert key).
Weird and definitely unwanted stuff there.

DFI sucks and thats all. I´ll never buy a DFI motherboard, only ASUS or ABIT. I cant imagine my precious cpu (amd 4800+ x2) dying because a crap motherboard problems. Shame on you DFI for selling defective motherboards.

this is a little off t but when my ultra d finally died i avoided the expert because of the "issues" it was having when it first dropped and bought another ultra-d. this one is a rev ad0 and i have none of the problems of the earlier ultra d's i had owned. also very easily modded to sli/sata2 with about 2 scrapes of an xacto blade and a couple pencil strokes. save yourself a couple bucks next time and get a new rev ultra d. overclocks around 5% better, too.
forget dfi street. according to them, ALL problems are user errors. if you persist, they will delete your thread. then they will find you, and kill you.

titouille, Have you tried powering up the MB with the cpu out. If the board powers up with no cpu chances are the cpu is dead.
