Just got of the phone with Mushkin CS and after telling her about paypal, she found out the info and was able to take my payment via paypal and my 2gig redline is on the way, ya baby ! 2 day shipping was just $9 too.... couldnt wait for Newegg anymore, Cant wait !
My Mushkin redline 2GB kit just arrived today from newegg.
My kit seems to top out at 2.7V, 266@3-3-2-7 (Super Pi 32M and Memtest stable).
Cas2.5 is unreachable for me even at 245.
Increasing the voltage from 2.7 to 2.8 doesnt really seem to improve my overclocking potential.
call our tech guys, they might be able to give u some pointers.

I'm 265 stable as well 24/7 3d too
I can run super pi at 275 and OCCT
and I can bench 3d at 270
but for 24/7 I go down to 265
if your stable there I'd say you have a decent kit ;)

Looks like 3-3-2-8 @265 2.8V is not stable for me (It wasn't the Opteron that failed because I have it at 265x7).
Now I have to go back to @260 3-3-2-8 and start all over from there. The way it looks now is that I have to run this at @255 3-3-2-7 in order to be 24/7 reliable (near stock values... :()
I'm very disapointed because I was expecting 2.5-3-2-7 @250~260 to be my 24/7 from this kit. But 2.5 is unreachable unless I lower the speed to 240.

I got mine last week and my modules are not overclockable too :(
They can run memtest @268Mhz with 3-3-2-8 error-free but when it comes to real world(3D),they hardly won't lock up @255Mhz.CAS 2.5 is unreachable even @240.I am not disapointed with my ram because I bought it just for gaming and their default speks are good enouth for that.I have a last hope that they might go higher with an opteron I am attended to buy.Maybe is just the IMC :confused:

use OCCT, it's a nice oc test and takes 30mins
If I can pass super pi 32m, occt test, and can run though 3d benches, I then loop 3 overnight, if all is well I'm usually golden there at least withing 1-2mhz. WC3 and CSS seem to be very sensitive :). If I error in there I back down 1-2mhz and stay there :).

yup...your is exactly like mine, 255 @3-3-2-8 is all they can do, cas 2.5 will not even do 238 though I haven't try lower, mine are very poor overclocker...definitely not worth the $300 for such low overclock as the Gskill ZX or HX clock about the same but only cost $220~$240.. Had already tried many different combination of settings and different bioses without any luck at all, btw I'm using Opteron so don't get your hope too high :stick:Quote:

The A64 has a superior memory controller to the AS8 865PE chipset board. It was pointed out that his processor was the problem, because of its memory controller. Well i have the same ram and I does a cas of 2.5 at 265MHz. THe problem here is not his processor, that was the point of my post.Quote:

uh dude, A64 controllers have problems with 2GB of RAM. Some work fine at high speed and others crap out which is why you'll see anyone with half a clue tell you the optys have the better controllers as they are more stringently tested with regard to memory controller. Comparing Intel motherboards to AMD CPUs is pointless as one has nothing to do with the other.
