ah if the pipes dont allow OC in rivatuner, or whatever you use, then this means they are bad, but they might not be noticeably so.
You have two options;
(1) Use Winfox to overclock.
(2) This is the better way. In rivatuner, go to the Power User tab. Then, in the list below, select "Rivatuner RC 16.5/Nvidia/Overclocking" and open it. In "DisableInternalClockTest" make it a 1, and you should have no trouble OC'ing.
So apparently it IS overclocking, and having results, and I'm not 'seeing' any noticeable Artifacts in 3dmark05 with my OC's... and haven't seen any artifacts at all since I put this card in...Quote:

this is all just preliminary, I just put the card in the computer about 2 hours ago, I haven't tried to push for a great OC, just checked to see if it can be done...

Yup, my memory runs at 930 on stock cooling and voltages.
I've bumped the voltage now from 2.7V to 2.8V and now it can go to about 940 while remaining perfectly stable (some artifacting at 950). I'll probably think about trying 2.9V later =)
As soon as I do the capacitor mod and increase the voltages I hope I'll be able to get 1GHz in the memory for full 6800GT creamy goodness.

Ok, looks like my Memory was maxing out around 900 even if I bumped up the volts, but I did use NibiTor to edit my BIOS to get 1.4v which allowed my GPU to clock up to 441.
I slpapped a couple of fans on the card to keep it cool, see the pics below, this dropped my idle temps by 10 C and load temp by a little more than 10 C...

Did you actually do the physical volt mod for the memory? You can't change the voltage via bios for the ram
why do you put a fan on the backside ? it's cools nothing.. it's just for the beauty of it.

Hi everyone, first time poster long time lurker... Thanks to everyone who contributed advice to this thread.
My Leadtek was unlocked and overclocked previously, but from the links in this thread I managed to get the guts to do the volt mod. 1.4V, core now at 450 (at 460 it would freeze 3DMk03 during Nature) and 930 mem. 12840 points and hoping to reach 13k with a few more tweaks or a lucky run.
Cooling still stock, I'm getting a 5-6 deg temp increase since 1.4V.

I'm an AMD user though, don't know much about Intel Overclocking.... but it was my understanding that intel systems are more dependent on bandwidth, where as AMD more affected by timings...
My RAM won't go that high(500Mhz) specially when the CPU is also overclocked, but I tried @ FSB 241Mhz in which the BIOS sets the memory at 400Mhz and CPU 3.61Ghz and my '05 score increased to 4,662(not enought).
One thing that still bothers me is this settings that shows AGP @ 2X under OS, I searched fo a solution but I can't find an answer for it.

The scores you got are higher than mine so be happy, most of the scores you see are kill shots with artifacts when from the general idea of your post you want a 24/7 setting. Try looking around in the driver settings for the OS probelm. Also check to see if you bios has a force to 8x setting for the agp slot my abit nf7-s did.Quote:

Yeah I know that some of my '01 & '03 scores are actually higher than those listed at Tom's VGA Charts IV '03 vs ATI X800 XT PE, and almost match 6800GT's Chart VII '05 scores, but I had an Leadtek 6800 GT (OC to Ultra speeds) that scored ~5,700 in '05 and I was hoping that this LE could reach ~5,000 with 16/6 and bit of overclocking.
The AGP@2X still an issue that worries me and it may be driver(nVidia or Intel) related since my other 8X card(PNY 6200) on another system(Dell 400SC) reads the same thing, BIOS are set at Auto(8X) in both systems and my old Ti4200 4X card is recognized as 4x not 2x by the OS.

WRONG! Numerous people have reported the "bug" that rivatuner has that prevents overclockings... afterall users report no artifacts when going higher. Fools paradise. The errors are there. They may not manifest themselves as visible artifcats because they alter values only slightly or are not used for pixel output value.Quote:

The internal clock test definetly works... maybe even not agressively enough (in short time period cant detect long term stability problems).
Ofcourse if all you care is higher 3dmarks, by all means disable it. But, through extensive testing I have found that scores decrease before you reach point of artifacts, and then there is stuttering and freezing/locking up issues that I am trying to figure out.
