Little OT, but im beginning to suspect my CPU. Thought the 3500 Claw with its FX55 core would have a better mem controller, but now i dunno. Might have killed it with too much voltage/heat :( I think this ram has a lot more in it, right now i cant even do 255x11 for a 32M pass.
Think i killed my chip?
Yeah I think I have an above average set.
While I love this memory and think it's one of the best products on market. I do want to caution people that it took me AWHILE to learn(still work in progress) how to tune my DFI bios to work well with UTT. I have played with Mushkin Blue ch and bh UTT, OCZ CH and BH UTT, Old CH-5, Old BH-5, and soon G-Skill BH utt will be in here ;). My words of caution are not to dissuade anyone from buying this memory, but to bring expectations into reality as it's all fine and dandy to see Oppainter, Charlie, and myself getting awesome results. But I have had my share of average or below average oc'ers(w/cpus/rams/mobos) to know that high results are the exception not the rule. These parts are spec'd at pc4000 at tight timings, which is phenominal and 12month ago had we heard about such parts we would have creamed our jeans. Just keep your expectations grounded and any gravy past 250 will be appreciated :toast:
OK guys... After all these being said, do you think it's worth it to give up 4 chips 512MB Corsair BH-5 PC3500 for 5 chips of these XP4000?

thanks for the info OPP - one more question...this whole Cold Boot UTT problem...how do you fix it once it happens? I've tried resetting bios (removing CMOS battery, setting jumper on reset, taking out power) and its not comin back on...yet i'm on right now with a TCCD stick i had layin around. Any help? THanks again :)
cold boot fix for me
hold insert during post
go into bios
set timings to 2.5-3-3-6
save/exit
go to bios reset timings to 2-2-2-6 at 200mhz
save/exit
go to bios and set htt to whatever ram does

I thought BH-type chips extended to the top of the PCB and the CH-type chips were quite smaller? Those look like my old BH5

255x11 3.3v vdimm, 1.53v vcore - memtest currently passed 297 loops of #5
260x10 3.4v vdimm, 1.64v vcore - 27 errors after 512 loops of memtest (#5).
