If DFI dont get there boards sorted then i will be looking for a more stable product.
The Abit is looking tempting at the moment but i am in talks with Abit about changing the bios to support the Drive strength option amongst other things.
Lets wait and see over the next 2 or 3 weeks how things pan out.
My San Diego is garbage, very poor overclocker due to the amounts of voltage it needs to be stable. It also shuts off the comp if it doesn't get the voltage it likes :( (did this on my K8N Neo 2 as well, thought it was a bad mobo.) I will probably ebay this one and get another.
What are the Ram dividers available on these boards?
in the thread

the drive strength option in the abit doesnt allow for a weak drive strengh thus the board is very hard to get to 300fsb in sync or higher however i did find timings that were 24h prime stable however around 36 hours i would get one error. they are posted in the xtreme bandwidth section.http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=58112Quote:

Are these options in the bios?Quote:

it is from AMD documentation (Bios & Kernel Developer Guide for AMD Athlon 64)... you can download it from amd website... :)
There are so many memory timing info .
Any problems with 1T?
Here i'm having problems with 1T bios 13 with G-Skill LA.
no 1T problems on my board.
Can someone tell me me what the CPU Ref voltage should be when overclocking?
Check page 8 for your GSkill LA bios setting :)Quote:

This board is for a review, maybe its defective, i remember only my third DFI was ok.
so whats the verdict here do i go with the Fatal1ty or the DFI SLI?
if you're going to run BH5/UTT Abit is the only choice as DFI is defective

some serious OCs in sig.......Abit needs a monster OCer owner or two to squeeze the bejesus out of it..........

I will be getting some mushkin redline soon and seeing what kind of results I get the memory. I wish I could get some high HTT memory so I could run everything 1:1 with a real nice high HTT :)
Btw-I ran 310 HTTx9 last night 1.65V with my OCZ memory on a divider no problem. I like my system running 1:1 so I put it back to 245x11 for right now (my processor can't do much more without some kind of shutdown or exit out of a program.)
This board has serious potential in it, give it a few more bios updates and tweaks I am sure it will be very comparable to the DFI. With ATI's chipset coming out this board is perfect to hold me over until I start seeing reviews of those boards.
And btw, I have used ABIT for many years with the NF7-S being the only board to ever die on me that I needed to RMA. I still have a KR7A-133 (something like that :D ) running in my wife's machine with no problems. I guess every person has different luck when it comes to hardware :stick:
