hmmm

I dont know how to tune yet, but 414-3 with my KHX3000's dont go past 230Mhz, while the UTT/VX sticks do 260Mhz.

Hopefully its something in the settings, rather than all my BH5 sucks-azz :rolleyes:

Didnt see all the new May bios's.... oh boy, more testing ;-)

Anyplace where Oskar details what the changes are for the new 5/10 bios's?

I asked OPB yesterday about which bios to use for what mem and his reply was:
414-2 for bh5
414-3 for tccd

I thought 414-1 was tccd? What are those 509 and 510's? Has anyone used those?

I am using the 414-1 with my tccd 510 chips at 294 3-3-3-6 right now. :rolleyes:

Man this is frustrating... buddy of mine just got his 4000+ Diego and got it running @ 3ghz stable on the stock AMD hsf, bleh!

I can only get 2.8ghz on water, retarded! I didn't fork out $500 for 2.8ghz......

sounds like mine 4000+ 0515 SPMW, this cpu OPB got it to 2850mhz at 1.45v air bought it off him but only doing 2800mhz at 1.65v on water heh

Oddly enough your stable speed is about the same as mine :)

I dropped to 2925mhz though for 24/7 @ 1.6v, but dont have any issues with firefox 1.0

Might be a plug-in problem ?

Now let's get Oskar Wu to include this disable option into the next DFI bios and we are good to go :D

guess i shouldn't complain about my 3700+ doing 2.8ghz with only 1.43v then ....shame i sold my mach-ii a few months ago :eek:

dread-star - early samples are always 'golden' .....it's just classic cheap advertising ....and if i say so ...a bit dirty - but that's the world for ya.

Anyone having problems with OCing RAM with a 3700? I got 2800Mhz stable but only when I keep my RAM at 200Mhz. My TCCD did 283Mhz with my old newcastle for months and now I can't OC even to 250Mhz with this diego. I have tried 0310, 0414-3, 0414-1, and now have 0510-3 same problem, mem dump reboots when I use over 200Mhz for RAM. =/

These memory controllers on the sandys are plain goofy IMO. Some times they just dont like tccd but are loving utt and bh- WTH lol.

see that jumper mod for the dfi? If you can raise ur 3.3v rail higher then it won't be a problem, or just do the 3.3v = vdimm

i've tried the jumper mod, it's unstable. i have my 3.3rail up to 3.6, no luck with getting this psu to run >3.2v. right now hipro's ddr maximizer is my only hope.

Actually after having two of these SD 4000's it looks like 2.75 is going to be about average 24/7 stable. Water is not really helping at all. They OC alright sub-zero, but of course so does every other chip. :rolleyes:

I am waiting to see how the FX San Diego's do. If they are better I might wait a few mos. sell this one and go with one of those.

Or maybe that ATI board will run them better we shall see soon i'm sure.

Yup I fell for it too and thought the odds would be better with a 4000+ over a 3700+ and it looks like I got suckered...

Oh well I guess! Gonna get my new PSU on friday and see if that helps at all, if not i'll probably sell it and get myself a 3700+ and see if I have any better luck.

I got up to + 300 HTT 1/1 with some xblk 2*512MB sticks.... ( san diego 3700+)

Just flashed that new beta bios :)
