That was fast, Thanks. Do they ship from the same warehouse for both U.S and CANADIAN orders, cuz it sounds like they have some good chips in stock.Quote:

if u got tccd then 3000+ ok, if u aint then got for 3200+ or higher
Yeah I knew they were covered with something and yes when I held an AMD64 CPU I thought it felt nice and heavy...plus like I said I could have sworn I saw someone on these threads lap it and it was nice and shiney copper.Quote:
Heatspreaders are nickel-plated copper. Hold one in your hand. WAAAAY too heavy to be aluminum
Well on the Ncix forums someone that had preordered also got the exact same batch I did, he hasn't tried it yet but, will and said he will post results. They got them yesterday, forums admin had been saying that amd was producing +3200 as fast as they could to fill damand... seems like they downgrades lots of chips.
Heres the link to Ncix, http://www.ncix.com/forums/index.php...t=13&subpage=1
I still need help on these temps, what kind of temps should I be getting with this setup Xp-90 and 92mm Tornado? Case temps are 23c same as room.
Heres a screeny

Jaiks i can't get past 2,7G with my 3200+ venice....this sucks  .3,10p bios 2,5G with dewfault vcore.....LBBLE0517BPDW
Daysleeper where did you get your venice from? it all seems as if though these cpu's overclockability decreases as it matures. Hence the latest batches have completely sucked?
I'm at 2850mhz prime95 stable on stock vcore, I need to find somewhere to download bios 1.36 modded for the Msi K8N Neo2 Plat. then maybe I can get 3000mhz stable
My Venice can't go more than 2.4GHz :(
3000+ LBBLE.
CBBLE's seem to do much better on average than LBBLE's.

try that, that's very good news what type of cooling, memory are you using
Glad to hear your chip is doing so well, 4rory.Quote:

I'm also curious to see how similar my results are to yours. Time and testing will tell!
Ok so far this is stable and a few mhz higher but I need more vcore now i think, 285fsb is not bad for stock vcore eh?
Yea can't wait to see how your chip does, that should be pretty interesting.

If someone can confirm that bios 1.36 modded will saport venice i'll install it.
can we keep that little hand washing thing between us, don't want people to think im dirty, I was just to excitied. :D
maaaaaaaaaan, I sure hope the batches aren't getting worse, this is why I'm going to pickup a 3200+ at monarch here in two weeks when I get paid again, so hopefully they don't keep degrading, with my H20 setup I wanted atleast 2.8GHz if not higher :(
It'll still be quite an improvement coming from 2.5GHz XP-M and only 200MHz with my RAM (damn board doesn't like the higher FSB's)
but still....after seeing all these damn high OC's I've gotten greedy without even getting on yet :P
i got 3200 venice and a dfi sli-dr tawian edition which motherboard bios is the best for the ocz rev2 platinum.
thanks
Is NewEgg right? Says Venice 3800+ and 3000+ run at 1.35/1.4V and the 3500+ and 3200+ run at 1.5V
Im collecting results of stepping and OC there. Pls contribute.

I think the chips comming from Ncix.com will mostly be good overclockers because, ncix only got them on thrusday May 14, amd had kept telling them that they can't meet demand that there way behind, because they counldn't make them fast enough, and the eta date got pushed back twice. I think amd downgraded alot of chips to fill the huge demand the +3200 created.
Because Ncix had +3800 long time ago and then they got +3000, those were no problem but it took them forever to fill demand on +3200, so I think for a time alot of chips were just coming out at +3200 no mater how good they were. ;)

I was very excited when i see you can clock 2.8GHZ. Too bad i've gotten find a PCI 2/4mb card to test it if i want. :slobber:
Your chip didn't work, or you tested your video car in both pc?
Yeah I just wondering is bios 1.36 modded for neo2 will support venice so I can try it.

Ok I finally fiqured out how to raise vcore you have to use the % ones lol
so I tried 3.3% added 4c to my idle and 5ish to my load so load now 55 touch 56 sometimes. I'm not happy with this, this is why I affraid to try higher.
But I just had it in windows at 3000mhz with 1,5vore. I tried bios 1.36, only thing it has is lots of vocre which I don't want to use bios 1.8 suppose to be accurate temps, damn even with this tornado screening i can't get good temps.
3000MHz 1.5 volt and air cooling already amazing :)
btw I heard Neo2 reads temp 8 degrees above the real temp?
