this new s775 3.8ghz would work with the 875 chipset?
holy :banana::banana::banana::banana:
i mean
holy fug
Goat, yes. DFI makes an 875 board to support LGA775. IT has DDR and AGP
but i mean it can work with my dfi 875p-t?however congrats fugger:D
so when will we expect to see a cpu-z screen @ 7ghz ?
Nice work! :toast:
Hey Fugger,
Can you post a pic of the new dfi board, and the full specs if you have them, whats different apart from 925xe from the current 925x t2 board? Only if DFI wont chop your head off obviously. BTW fantastic results
Gloat, yes
Noob, hopefully Saturday or Sunday.
Oublie, the first post in this thread has pictures of both boards.
fugger you have tried your 570j on the dfi 875p-t?
570J works on DFI 875P-T, but you'll need a BIOS update.
Get some sleep first Fugger ;)
hi guys im new here and just wanted to congratulate fugger with his crazy overclocks see you around guys :)
I'm looking forward to it too. Current prescott apparently has its own mind, not necessarily follow what BIOS tells it to do.Quote:

Not a problem. nice speed on that EE for sure.
That is one insane FSB.
holy crap!!!! 6.2ghz with 2mb of cache :slobber: ...and 1:1 on the ram  id like to see that benched...but fugger has that creamed, what are you talking about, he has screenshots of 6.3ish, and has POSTed at 7 :toast: hows that going by the way?
what this 570j does with stock air cooling?i mean the max mhz.plz fugger let me knooow :banana4:
Don't expect to see DFI 925XE-T2V in stores very soon. Straight from the horse's mouth:

As far as 925XE, we have no plan to phase in this model yet, as demand for such platform is very small.
screenshot means nothing to me anymore, lets see it benching :)Quote:

Fugger, I'm a complete n00b when it comes to overclocking, but reading your exploit has really caught my attention, and if I ever get a newer system someday when I have the money, I'd like to overclock it.
I had some questions that maybe you or other posters would be willing to chime in on about this.
Since I'm a n00b (go easy on me guys) your able to OC the CPU to 7.2 ghz. And you mention as well as others mention about keeping the OS stable, and that the WR is at 6.5 ghz right now.
With your system OC'd now, what's the point where you can bring up the OS and keep it stable, run programs on XP, etc.? IS it faster than the WR right now to where you can keep it stable? I guess because I'm new to all of this, I have a lot of questions.
I mean I understand that the 7.2 ghz is just with a stable bios, but it doesn't mean a stable OS.
Also with the advent of newer CPU's out there, do you see yourself going faster that the 7.2 ghz? I mean Intel announced the new 3.8 ghz CPU EE chip out, could you break the 7.2 ghz you got now, or would you have to start from scratch and experiment with the timings all over again?
It's just a lot to take in.
Oh, and to be repetative with everyone else, awesome work fugger. Simply awesome and inspiring.
with that cpu, 24/7 use speeds is probably not known.. he's using a system to cool it which would be excessivly expensive to run 24/7, not worul it probablt be capable of running that long. I believe that IS a 3.8EE ES isnt it?Quote:

man you are just insane i just sign up to drop you a few lines i think you deserve the admiration of a lot of ppl in the OC community your preserverance is just amazing i hope you can run that beast stable at that amazing speed i hope i could do something like that with my pc athlon 64 doesnt oc very well and less if you have stock cooling as i have  i just wanna see some pics of your rig and that cooling system.
nice work
