Hey moddolicous,

The BIOS : MSI 6610XL PCIe 128MB - Rev 01
So it a PCI-E BIOS. You can download it from MVKTech. ;)
Stock speeds are indeed 400/400 (800DDR) MHz.
Just download the BIOS from MVKTech (my site, that one is just fine).

6610 XL a 6600GT clocked @400/400Mhz ? My MSI 6600GT is clocked at default @500Mhz/DDR1000 and it overclocks to 605Mhz/DDR1250 with default cooler and no mods.

MEDIONs Marketing want to say in Winter 2004 "We seel a PC with GeFORCE 6 powered by 128 MB". So they take a NV43 wit 8 Pixel-Pipelines, put some GDDR3 on the PCB and clocked the combination down to 400 MHz / 400 MHz to have a cool device (This PC has no Case-Fans). Cause there should be a Multimedia-PC there put some sh.it on it, like a SCART-Input-Field and so on...

I think that 561 MHz & 515 MHz (DDR1030, please say not 1,03 GHz or like that - it is physically not clocked with this rate) is very good for a piece of sh.it from a OEM-Seller.

And yes - this device was build by MSI. On the PCB is printed by MEDION, but the BIOS shows the true manfacturer: MSI.

My old Creative GeForce2 GTS was build by MSI and you could recognized MSI printing on the PCB, but the bios were made by creative. Anyway, like you said, nice clock for an OEM :p:

It is build by MSI, the whole box comes from MSI (for example the Motherboard, but a "Special-Version" too - i have already exchange it with a EPoX 5EGA+ for more Overclocking-Options). Now i would like to stay with this iteam called "6610XL", but a little more overclocked. I have already pray to god, that somebody can help me with my "Special".

Can somebody help me? I have the Leadtek 6600GT Extreme
videcard (default clocks are 550/1120 - 1.6ns memory, max. clock 583/1245)
cooled by Zalman VF700 AlCu (temps ~45C idle, ~67C full load).

Can I use Riva Tuner to see the voltages which are applied to all modes (I believe there are 3 modes - 2D/Low3D/3D) and what is the max. voltage for 3D mode.

Can the voltages be increased for the core so that I could get at least 600 MHz on the core? What about memory?

Also, what is the max. safe voltage for 6600GT? I already
downloaded the "6600gt E (1.4v).zip", but I'm not sure if I
should use it. Is there any suignificant heat increase when upping the voltage?

maybe someone wants to make me bios with losed timmings for my 1,6ns, i want hit 1,4 ghz but im stuck by PCB what is holding me back :P
i have leadtek xtreme 6600GT , right now it runs 685/1385 max

Check for Gigabyte 6600GT BIOS on www.mvktech.net, i got 1420-1450Mhz benchable with it.

tnx anyways, but story is next : with gigabyte bios i still managed to get 1385 mhz mem, but perf was lower, like 200 pts in 03 :P now i think PCB wount handle that speed well, maybe someone can make or give me some bios with tight timmings ? :slobber: :p:

making a modded bios with tighter timings requires u to know how to blind flash if your card doesnt support it. If u really want to try it, the only thing I can think of is flash your card with the monitor off. Once u can get it, then u should be ready to try new mem timings.

is easier just writte down all the steps in a sheet of paper than learning how to do it blind....

Yea, I guess you could do that, but its more extreem to memorize it.
sponge bob- I'll be happy to help mod the bioses to memtimings that should be acheivable, just put your clocks to stock when you put in a new bios. And like leviathan18, write down the steps to cold flash. Maybe do a run through before you start.

lol im not a newby :D i have flashed videos (blind) like 10 times, and i have PCI video :P just tighter little timmings, then i will see how it is or so :P

I wasnt assuming anything, just giving advice. Do u have a backup of the original bios? Upload it here and I'll try tightening timings.

i have a leadtek 6600 pci-e w/ stock settings of 300/550. I have the card at 450/650 and the core has more on it but i've maxed out rivatuner. does the bios determine how high the slider goes in rivatuner or do i change something else to give me more headroom? i'd like temperature monitoring to be enabled and 400/625 to be the stock clocks for my card. would anybody be able to do this for me? here's my current bios: http://www.mvktech.net/component/opt...rent,category/

hmm i have lost my stock bios :P just take stock leadtek bios, and edit it plz , then i will look it ;):)

Alright spongebob, here are two modded bioses. I couldnt remember if u had an AGP 660gt or a PCI-E 6600gt.

Sry to ask, but when you say 400/625, is that with the ddr clock? Like, with ddr, 625 would be 1250, so I'm assuming thats what u mean right?

stock on the 6600 pci-e non-ddr2 version (the version i have) is 275 or 550. so i'd like mine to be 313 or 625; it's not 625 or 1250...the regular 6600's ram is much to slow for that ;)

i still don't know how to get any higher than 450 using rivatuner though. does anybody have an idea for how i can overclock higher? i can't use the nvidia utility because it will "fail the driver testing" if i do it that way.

*edit* nm, i found the option for maxclock in the poweruser settings of riva tuner.

i'm at 540/640 right now and still climbing. the memory isn't ocin that great so might attempt my first vmod after xmas
