The posting rules there is too damn strict and some of the moderators is so damn picky. I havent fealt welcome there since the first day I posted on that forum. And the quality level of the users there is not so high, no spectacular mods, I`m easely beating the top clocks there with my system :fact:
If I post a worklog I rather do it here :toast:
My main forum is in Norway (forum.hardware.no) and all my DFI mods is in this tread: http://forum.hardware.no/index.php?s...378691&st=2257
I just added after market ram sinks and let my 7700 blow on them...
Nothing you already haven't seen. Still though this 92mm fan keeps the whole area nice and cool. Even when running 3.5vddr the pcm chip is kept under control. A thermal probe attached to the heatsink right next to the ram slots without the fan registers 80+°c and with the fan it's in the 40's. Show's what some active cooling can do.
I know exactly what you mean actually :slapass:Quote:

I just attached 2 A64 stock fans to the top of the Big Typhoon. Ghetto but effective...

dymone is that a slot a cooler from micro center? I almost bought one that looked exactly like that after seeing yours, but decided I'd verify.

Thanks OV3RCLOCK3R :D
This is what i used: http://files.upl.silentwhisper.net/upload2/PA190072.JPG
And how it hangs on the board:
The frame is slightly smaller than the ramslots, so it snapps on... on the ram "snappers" hehe. Bulletproof solution :)
Very nice crafmanship, although it seems that not all the chips make proper contact?
Did you gain any more MHz on your ram after this mod?
