A flash isnt going to help you kryptobs2000, That is BS, ZipZOOM's disclaimer "not responsible for typographical errors" doesnt fall under this. Mostly everyone is getting 325/1100's The memory is what makes this card.

I wish you the best of luck in fixing this matter. a 325/700 card should go for about $249, i bought a BFG 6800 something last month for a customers computer that was around this clock speed.

I go through a lot of cards and pick and choose the cream of the crop for mine. I understand a lot of you, or new/young overclockers that might have to save their money for a month or longer to buy this card. And you make your desicions very wisely. And it sucks to be dealt this card, This isnt taking a chance on buying a x800 and hoping it will flash to a XT/PRO/PE, this is a card that's advertised @ 325/1100.

I finally got kicked out of 3dmark. I cranked it up to 485/1275, it's artifacting very little but would've made it through the test. but i got the error.

Not enough power to run the card, Vid card needs more power. I guess it's really pulling juice running it.

And no BS, im running this dual Xeon 2.8 @ 3.6ghz Dual chips and the 6800 card off a 300 watt fortron Aurora. I just switched it for a fortron 350 watt aurora and it's running fine now. I have a couple of 530 fortrons here. that i'll switch to. When i get this all mounted in a case. I've got a couple of swifty waterblocks for the chips. Im hoping for some more mhz out of them. I havent volt modded the board yet. and they are on air now.

So what do you thing EVGA is going to do for you, No bios in the world is going to get your card up to 1100mhz stock rating. They need to ship you another card. If i had any left i'd hook you up if Zipzoom would refund you money, But i only have mine left. And now im worried about ordering any more. Zipzoom's RMA dept. is a real "BICCHH"! compared to newegg.

I got a bad asus PCDL 3 months ago. It's a duallie board, They told me it was special order and i had to RMA to ASUS, I dont know how they call it a special order when i ordered it right off of their site and they keep them in stock all the time?

hey, thanks for the support tedinde. I don't really know what they are going to do, and even if they send me a gt I would feel ripped off. Basically I did buy an ultra for 325$. a gt costs 400$ so I can see them replacing my card with that. But I did not buy the card based on how it will run stock, I bought it based on the compents that makes up the card, ultra pcb, dual molex's, 1.6ns gddr3 etc. So I don't know if I should ask for an ultra or what. I would feel like an ass kind of, but really that is what I payed for, and am now in debt to my mom for lol.

and what the hell is wrong with my card. it wont even do 1200 on the memory...wtf? coolbit says test failed after like 1180. maybe its a bug with coolbits? i dont see how 1.6ns ram can be this bad. 80mhz overclock lol? i have the gt 1.4v bios. how do i overl:banana::banana::banana::banana: with rivatuner cause its all like blanked out and i cant find an option to enable overclocking. maybe im blind...i donno?

and this card cant even hit 445mhz...what CRAP!

using expertool, i was able to overclock to 1200mhz on teh memory and rising...i think i saw a few artifacts in game 2 in 3dmark 2005, but its so hard to tell because of the low fps and the drastic lighting effects. sometimes something looks like an artifact for a second, but its just a leaf changing from being lit up to dark again

i got it up to 1240 with a few artifacts in 2005 so im happier. it probaly wouldnt artifact in games though, cause with the original bios, i had put the core at 390, and no artifacts in ut2k4, but artifacts in 2005.

and a lot of people are getting at least 450mhz on the core. some time im going to either replace the heatsink, or put a new tim on there

Im getting 1280 stable Kobalt and 480 on the core now. I opened the window and it's about 20 degrees cooler.

Has anyone taken their cooler off and seen how good the thermal paste is on it. or does anyone know if the MCW-50T's fit this card. I have a 172 watt pelt on a MCw50 that im sure would wake up this card. And some volt modding if anyone has any volt modding links for this card, Pass it on.

I just got one of those Cool touch Soldering irons you see on tv. It works fine, i just havnt had anything to solder. Im about to mess with it on an old board. All i've been doing is melting some solder and soldering some wires together for testing.


$20 and works great portable and easier than Butane one's if your working on your car audio.

all of a sudden ive gotten these artifacts in 3dmark 2005 game test 2 ONLY
i even backed it down to 375/1090 and theyre still there in that test. i can go up to 430/1225 and see no artifacts in any other tests and games. file corruption in 3dmark? does my graphics card suck this bad? whats up with this lol?

the only other thing i can think of is the core not getting enough power....but i have a antec true480w with 1 optical, 2 raptors, 1 ide hard drive, and the rest of the stuff. i dont think that that could use up all 480w???

i had that happen on my regular pov 6800gt when the temps went to high. could run the test once, twice at same speeds and then already being quite warm, on 3rd go it would do this. clocks were 415/1125 - temps loaded >74°C (it came with the slim single slot heatsink).

Careful charlie..

There's a LE = Limited Edition, and there's a LE = Low End. 128mb DDR3 prolyl designates Low End LE.

ok well...i just spent the past 2hours and 30 min rewiring my whole entire computer, and i added a floppy drive. i finally hooked up every single thing for the front panel and the firewire and extra usb things...zip tied everything up...added the four fans in the intake front(only two are connected because i dont haave enough adapters) and i moved hard drive for better airflow.

i also removed the heatsink from the gfx card for memory and gpu. the thermal compound for the memory was like...foamy crap, but i didnt replace it cause heat doesnt effect the memory overclock that much, and i didnt feel like using a tube of as3. the compound on the gpu was actually thermal compound not a pad. i replaced it with as5.

so basically....with the 3 molex "strings" from the psu....i have one with optical drive, floppy, and 3 fans. the other, 3 hard drives, and a few fans. and the last one, two connections to my graphics card. even if it doesnt help my overclock, i feel much better with eveything organized and working. plus adding teh 4 intake fans got rid of the woossh sound from having 3x as much exhaust in the case. lol...lotta work, but im happy :)


edit: when i flashed the bios, to reinstall the drivers, i just uninstalled them in add remove programs and installed them again. i didnt use driver cleaner. could this be the problem with my pretty low scores and artifacts in game 2 3dmark2005?

does ne1 have the original bios that shipped with the eVGA 6800UltraLE From ZipZoomFly..

I used this app --> http://bios.aonic.net/ (as noted in this thread to use) to save my original bios and I flashed to selection 6.) LE to Ultra v1.5v http://files.aonic.net/bios/demo.jpg
and now when i try to run any game/bench its totaly nasty, artifacting to all hell, audio cuts in and out.. audio finally stabilizes.. 95% of screen is black, then BSOD.

So i goto load the orignal bios that i saved,..
