To recap -- somebody with 2 posts shows up and posts a modded BIOS, and people are willing to flash it? Had the poster had more demonstrable experience with this kind of thing, no worries, but without more info on the poster and/or their skills, no way in :censored: am I trying it...
We have an EPROM programming machine at work and I'm friends with the operator, so I have a bit of an insurance policy.
Modded 7/16 bios
EDIT: original modded BIOS was supposedly corrupt....this one is supposed to be fixed.
Am I missing something here...I don't see the 5/14 bios posted here. Nor do I see it over at aoa. Have I lost my mind?

and imho u guys have all tried this bios 5/14 and there u got also the volt probs? if not try and which cores and steppings du u got?!
its fully stable on this i only got the problem with the vdimm that its a littl bit low but i think epoy made it so a asked them for a working ddr booster on the +/j boards they said yes but didnt go over 2,75 vdimm....

Would be nice if he modded the bios to allow 3.2 volts through Vdimm, my BH5 struggles with 2.76 volts. Even better when it under volts it to 2.5 as has happened. Still Its just my imagination :banana:Quote:

Thanks for that bios guys. Using only 1.65vcore bios and mbm reports about 1.65v pretty stable with 5/14, and vdim slightly undervolts. Too bad it is about 80f in the room where that computer is, and it has a crappy hsf. The 3200 nc (newegg sent the wrong processor, I ordered a cw but a 512k L2 nc arrived instead) seems to do 2.55 stable with 1.65vcore.
So has anyone had any positive results with the modded bios?

Guys, the original file was corrupted when it was uploaded. The guy E-mailed me a copy and it works great. PM me if you want a copy. I'm getting 1.75 - 1.76V VCORE under load now. Of course, I still had to clear the CMOS and unplug the battery and all power to clear the VCORE after flashing.
It works great here too!.. now we need to MOD the ram voltage!! buaahaaaah!:toast:

i have the v-booster but i'm not using it. if i put my mem's at slot 2 and 3 the computer gets unstable. i can´t even boot to windows.:(

i'm using 9/7 bios.
Ive got this 3200xlpro ram that needs 2,75v's on stock.. my bios only gives it 2,65-2,7 and 3dmark won't even run properly ... and ehm.. this bios that allows 1,8ish vcore... can u post/link it again? thanks.
I'm running Corsair TwinX4000pro (default voltage of 2.75) on my system just fine, albeit with the memory set at 2.80v in the bios.
i have tried the modded bios, but even when i select 1,8v in bios i still get the same 1,7v (around that) i did before :(
Even under load? He said he was getting about 1.74v idle, and 1.84v load, atleast I think he said that.

clear CMOS mine works fine 1.8v NO PROBLEMS:D
