Okay I've had about 10 Malaysia chips none of which could boot to 50x multi even the one that I killed with 1.5v would not boot into windows at 50x

My default voltage is 1.008...but this chip hits a wall at 4.5GHz. Takes another 0.1 volts to get it stable at 4.7GHz

My 4770k l312b364 isn't luky, it boots easy at 4700 but needs 1.28v to be rock solid at 4400mhz
I saw that some cpus can run easy over 4500mhz with my voltate

My actual settings:
Vccin 1.8 ( but droop at 1.74)
Vcore 1.28v (by hwmonitor vid is stable but I saw a little overshoot under load)
Vring 1.15v
Vddr 1.52v
Other settings are in auto but at default

My first Haswell was a 4670K as the local stores ran out of the first lot of 4770K's very quickly. It needed 1.30v to be stable at 4200 .... so I sold it. Still felt plenty quick, just no good for benching.
My first 4770K was a L307B246 but it needed 1.31v for 4400 stable, I killed it by damaging the PCB trying to delid it... :shakes:
My second 4770K is a Malay L311B496 and it needs 1.275v for 4500 stable, it has been delidded but other than lower temps I saw no gain in performance. Still poor by this forums standards but it has been fun playing with overclocking it and testing different rams.

Keep in mind that more feeling of success are reported rather than misses. Thus the "standard" does not equal the real standard.
My 4670K needs 4.5GHz 1.2V for prime but i can't boot 5GHz on air. You can not judge a good subzero chip just by looking at the prime voltageat lower clock speed. In my view, 5GHz SPI 32m voltage is still a good indicator.
4770k #2 batch number L312B152 made in Malaysia.
Here are my results for my maximum performance over clock on my 4770k before I delid it.
Powered by Intel's latest AVX2 linpack code.
Look at the Gflop performance and the heat.
4770k with HT off at 4.4GHZ.

well its same as ivy, you need to find the most consistent batch, then bin a bunch of those batches to find nice cpu's.Quote:

The average CB seems to be -125 for most cpu's. The colder the better ofc.
dont know what batch 8 packs 6.6 cpu is, he has 2 of them. Asked 3 times but no response so could be anything
There are some relations between vccin and vcore?
I read that vccin can rise up to keep lower vring
Now I'm very confused, my vccin is low, 1.82v but vcore and vring are high, 1.31v for 4.4 (core) and 1.2 for 4.2(ring)

The glue they used for the lid is A LOT harder. Can NOT be delided with the wood/vice method. So don't try guys you will simply end up damaging the edge.
My first 4770K: L310B489 Malaysia. Total crap. Needs 1.25v for 4.3GHz, couldn't get 4.5 or even 4.4GHz stable with any reasonable voltage (likely needs over 1.3v).
Second 4770K: L310B562 Malaysia. 4.5GHz stable so far on 1.225v running AIDA64 test for 15 minutes and counting.
i have MALAY batch L311B286.. 4.6GHz needs 1.2V, 4.7GHz needs 1.22V, 4.8GHz needs 1.27V, 5.0GHz needs 1.35V...
I have a Malasya chip L312B333 is a big big crap.
4.5Ghz 1.3v and not stable.
